Close Harbour Seafood

Food is good. We've only sat at the bar and the service was slow. The bartender gave good recommendations and was friendly. All of the seafood was fresh and cooked well.

Today was my second time visiting Close Harbour and I must say, I was extremely disappointed. I should have known from the moment I walked in and the hostess asked if I would be done eating by 6 (meanwhile I walked in at 5) because there were other reservations. Not only that but, a couple who came in after me was serviced before me. The waitress finally approached my table, took my order but did not bring any bread to the table. While the other tables did receive their bread. As I was finishing my lobster bisque, the manager on duty and the hostess were setting tables up for a larger party literally almost right on top of my table. The waitress for that table was constantly going around my table just to reach the other side of that tables guest. To top all of this off, my lobster roll was not up to expectations. The texture of the lobster was chewy and the roll was extremely dry. This was by far the worse $50 dollars I have ever spent for service this bad.

I only purchased fish here to cook at home so I can't really say what the dinning experience is like. However from the looks of it I really need to try it out. What's not to like about a seafood place that sells fresh catches and can cook them up and serve them to you!

Fantastic service! Went in for twin stuffed lobsters for a birthday gift to take out. In 15 minutes I had my lobsters but while I waited the staff chatted with me, offered me water, made sure I was comfortable. Wonderful people and my husband was thrilled with his gift.

Portions were great! Atmosphere was nice. Drinks were ok. Service was good. Would go back.
