Closetbox is hands down the most convenient way to move - especially if you have to store your belongings for any period of time. The convenience of scheduling pickup and delivery makes everything worth it, and the customer service is top notch. Highly recommend. Closetbox moved my furniture out of an apartment, stored it, and delivered it to my new apartment with incredible ease. I paid about $200 per month for storage of a fully-furnished one-bedroom apartment, and paid only $99 for delivery. The convenience cannot be beat.
If you are moving or down sizing this is the best place to use to pick up and store your furniture, I had a lot of up scaled designer furniture when i down sized, my furniture was packed and stored to perfection. When i took my furniture out of Closet Box Storage it was just like the day i put it in. absolutely perfect. Do not use any other service before going to Closet Box trust me it is the best. The customer service is spot on and always ready to help the prices are excellent for the high level of service and storage you will receive. Linda THE BEST
Beware —- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We used them this past fall while we had to move out and they lost one of our main boxes with irreplaceable items and claimed they could not find the box after the fact. In addition, they heavily damaged two of our most prized pieces of furniture as well as scraping walls and denting ceilings during delivery with employees that were contracted and appeared to not care. They have no integrity as a service and plead ignorance like the irresponsible company they are- if you do not use their insurance they will not make it right with you and leave you hanging with damaged goods and lost items as they have with us. We talked and emailed with representatives of this company for over a month and they simply mailed us a $200 check what they justified as $0.60 a lb worth of items lost and damage after thousands of dollars damage to furniture and lost items. If the ownership and company representatives had any moral responsibility and class they would do the right thing, but they do not and that in a nutshell is the company you would be contracting with to move and safeguard your furniture and valuables.
The Closetbox team was extremely helpful, courteous and timely. The only issue we had was trying to determine a pick up and delivery of our items from the storage facility back to the house and that may have been due to the service Closetbox used for deliveries.
I had a great experience with Closetbox in Columbus Ohio theyvwere very accomodating on the pick up and delivery. At the last minute I changed my delivery to a pick up and both closet box and their partner storage comapny EE ward were very accomodating and hepful. I would recommend them and use them again.
I loved using this service. From the initial contact with them to the last, I was extremely pleased. The customer service was by far the best. The storage facility was clean and climate controlled. The gentlemen who picked up and returned my items were patient and helpful. They are definitely on my list of businesses to use again and recommend to others.
IF I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD. I have a box that was clearly thrown around and beaten because the contents are broken. Everything was wrapped in bubble wrap, NOT TO MENTION THE BOX IS CLEAR PLASTIC AND YOU CAN SEE THE CONTENTS ARE FRAGILE. I am so upset over how stupid the movers had to be to throw around a VISIBLY fragile box. All my kitchenware is broken. This is beyond unacceptable. I am so upset. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I have used movers and storage in NYC for years, and this company in D.C. is TERRIBLE in comparison, in every single way. I mentioned to the movers when they picked my stuff up that clearly the kitchen boxes they could SEE are fragile and they supposedly noted this....UNREAL. They broke everything. I am so mad!!! Everything was wrapped up in bubblewrap NOT ONCE, BUT THREE TIMES. It had to take some serious throwing around of my fragile, VISIBLY FRAGILE, items that I specifically stated to be careful with to cause this kind of damage. It's not like the box was even heavy. I will not refer Closetbox to anyone. I am so upset with the unprofessionalism shown by this company. I have a variety of other complaints from the drop off process that I will get to in a moment. I am so angry. Closetbox had one job and couldn't even pick up and store stuff without breaking it. How can anyone be expected to store fragile items with this company? I made it more than clear that the items were fragile and IT DOESN'T EVEN REQUIRE CLARIFICATION. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO OPEN THE BOX TO SEE THROUGH THE CLEAR PLASTIC THAT THE CONTENTS WERE BROKEN!!! This is terrible. These items are irreplaceable mementos, hence the fact that I stored them in the first place and trusted them with this company. It is not about money, it is the principle of it. If I trust someone to transport my stuff - I trust that they will not throw around clearly fragile things, ESPECIALLY when they can see it is fragile, it says it is fragile, they can SEE THE CONTENTS THROUGH THE PLASTIC WITH EASE, and I asked that they mind the fragile boxes. Additionally, I was only able to choose between two days for delivery because I live in a GW dorm. Unfortunately, Closetbox does everything around undergraduate times. Sadly for me, I live in a graduate dorm and we move in and start weeks before undergraduate students. This means I spent weeks without my stuff from storage because there was "nothing we can do." Terrible customer service, terrible movers, terrible moving company, terrible care of my stuff. The question is: what does Closetbox have going for it? Nothing. Use another company. This one will make you regret every choice you made. Not to mention, it is the most expensive. I expected the best service and got the worst. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY WILL DISAPPOINT.
My daughter is a college student in Los Angeles whereas I live in Lousisana. When it came time for her to move out of the dorm. It was easy for me to set up an account on closetbox and schedule a pickup date. I made changes to what was going into my storage area on the website. The delivery drivers were prompt and courteous. The process was simple. It’s a little pricey but I had the peace of mind that everything was going to be taken care of.
Competent, transparent and professional! I was very impressed with Closetbox at the get-go and did not lose any respect for them all the way through the time I was involved with them. They always were clear verbally and in writing as to what their service provided and what they would do for me.
My belongings stayed in the Closetbox warehouse for well over a year. I found everything in great shape, clean and nothing amiss. I would highly recommend them.
