I’ve been going to Pilates here for about 6 months and have loved it! They’re so helpful to those just starting out and really give you options to advance through each exercise. Amazing and friendly staff- and even the people attending are so sweet. Judgement free zone where everyone gets stronger, give it a try!
Visiting the Club Pilates Marmalade studio was my first experience with pilates in general and specifically Club Pilates. I was not disappointed. More than that, I was hooked! The location is perfect, the studio clean and well equipped, and the instructors are wonderful! I fell head over heels for pilates due in no small part to this wonderful studio and instructors. Go - you will not regret it. Just don't get my spot!! :
Disclaimer: Never taken a class here, the other reviews say how great the instructors are- but the short version is they won't stop calling me, despite having talked to me twice, and leaving the conversation with "i will reach back out if/when I'm ready" so- don't give out your contact info unless you want to be spammed. Long version: Their website says they offer 1 free class- I have done pilates quite a few times and I'm looking for a studio to call home, so i gave them my info and was going to try it out. The free class is a 30 min intro class- so I left the page bc i was looking for a harder class to do with a friend that week she was going to try it with me too. Next day i get 2 calls and a vm. I call back and talk to a gal who tells me that in the free intro class they offer special promotions if you sign up that day. The promotion? $100 off the $150 SIGN UP CHARGE... so no discounted membership for the first month or anything like that... full price + $50 to sign up and that's the "deal". They also don't offer class bundles like a 10-pack I said ok, I'll think about it. Over the next few days I get like 5 calls and 2 more vms. Finally I pick up again and say "hey I've already talked to you, I'm not ready to sign up" I ended up buying a pack of yoga classes instead, I was thinking once i use those up, maybe I'll consider again. Next day, another call Next day another call Today, another. I asked them to stop calling and because of this I won't be joining this studio- it's just left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm a nice person and really don't like being put in situations that make me feel rude. Which is a shame, because the other reviewers really seem to enjoy the classes. My Advice? Don't give away your contact info unless you're willing to commit or don't mind constant calls.
Took a single class and in that one class I learned more about my body than I ever have doing CrossFit, and going to the gym. thank you to the wonderful instructor Vanessa, for your patience and understanding. Thank you for helping guiding us one workout at a time. the wonderful staff! I would reccomend it to anyone that lives around the area they are wonderful. *picture of my mom!
Great instructors. Classes at my level. Helpful suggestions for my aches and pains. Fun community. Best part of each day.
I joined Pilates to stay strong in my core as I get older but there are so many more benefits. According to my FitBit, I am sleeping sounder and my clothes look better on me even though I haven't lost weight. I've never been athletic and it took me a few months to get used to it. But the instructors are great and skilled at individualizing every class to fit your body and fitness level. There is a 12 hour cancellation policy but the one time I woke up sick I called them as soon as I knew I couldn't make it and they made an exception.
Trying several different exercise classes, genres, etc, this is the one that has made the most difference in my body. I have been a member of several different studios and Millcreek Club Pilates has the best instructors, the best schedule availability, and the most class variation weekly. After two major knee surgeries and years of issue, this has been a god sent in helping me gain the mobility back that I need to just do daily activities. This studio is great in working with you and making your needs heard
What a joke of a business and studio. Booked a class 30 minutes before I arrived and was told I can't join because I need to test with 2 instructors to join their level 2 class. Nobody contacted me to tell me this. I stayed a few minutes to speak to the manager who apologized and he issued a refund, but this does not make up for the waste of my time. I watched the level 2 class as it was going and it is not an advanced class at all, I've done Pilates for over a year and their advanced class is the same as my 1.5 class at a different Pilates studio that does not require people to test. Waste of time and unprofessional. Go to a private studio and not a chain where their conduct and business are unprofressional. The one star I am giving is for the front desk employee who was very nice and because I can't go any lower. Updating in response to the manager's comment: I arrived right on time and the class hadn't started, people were grabbing weights when I entered and I was introduced to the instructor prior to the start of class. Please do not makeup excuses when apologizing. Also please refrain from using language like "sorry you missed" to put the blame back on to the customer when there was also negligence on the business end which the manager apologized for on the phone and confirmed that normally an employee would call or get in contact to relay this message... which I never received because I booked 30 minutes prior to the class - which in itself is an issue. If 30 minutes is not enough time for your studio to get its ducks in a row prior to class, then the option to book a class within a certain time should not be made available. Highly unprofessional. Once again, if I needed to arrive earlier to test in order to join, this should've been made clear or an employee should've contacted but no notice was given prior to the class. Nowhere in the confirmation email does it state that if this is a first-timer entering level 2, they should arrive earlier to test or prior approval would be needed.
The instructors are great and the different levels of classes are great as well. However, there are a couple of reasons I will never return to a club Pilates. 1. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy, which is inconvenient when you have a back injury and never know if you will be up to a class when you wake up in the morning. 2. Good luck cancelling your membership if you choose to do so. There is a form you have to fill out, but the form is not on the website or app. They have to email it to you. It took them almost a month after I requested the form and then it didn’t submit for some reason. So 2 months and almost $400 later after requesting to cancel my membership, it was finally done. I can’t afford this and was cancelling because I need to have back surgery, and then decided to go to xcel after my surgery because I can get unlimited Pilates with no cancellation penalty for $80/ month, plus $80/month gym membership. I contacted the owner to resolve this issue and request a refund and was called a liar regarding my reason to cancel my membership, which I don’t need a reason to cancel anyway. She then deleted our text exchanges and blocked me. So, if you want to pay an insane amount of money for Pilates and lose money when something comes up within 24 hours, and risk losing more money when you try to cancel your membership, then you should sign up for club Pilates in Millcreek.
When signing up initially they don't inform you of all the membership options even on the calendar they give you. Only the more expensive ones. When cancelling the membership they required a 30 day cancellation notice and no way around it. Even if it's 29 days. Some instructors are really nice and others aren't so much. Overall I don't think I'll be returning or recommending.
