Worst medical experience ever. Over 3 years of seeing specialists and spending a ton of money on co-pays, I am still not officially diagnosed with anything, my condition only seems to worsen and I feel completely in the dark as to the reason why. The nurses and front office staff are unprofessional, rude and straight up stupid. Last time i was there a receptionist started telling me about spiritual healers who use "energy" to heal. Are you serious? These people work in a hospital in the second decade of the 21st century? It takes often months to see my primary physician or you get a choice of seeing a random residency doctor who is unfamiliar with your case and you have to waste first half an hour just explaining your entire history all over again. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Me: tells the secretary I need a letter from my doctor to get an emotional support service dog for my depression, anxiety and personality disorder. Secretary: exactly why would you need a service animal for that? -an actual quote from this office. This is AFTER a receptionist scheduled my appointment for the wrong day and not only didn't apologize, she argued with me about it. I think I know when my only weekday off is. Central Maine Medical Center Family Medicine Residency you astound me with your customer service yet again. PLEASE get some new receptionists.

This office has treated my wife horribly, not only as a patient but as a person. The patient care specialist has repeatedly argued with her on the phone and even hung up on her, making it incredibly unprofessional and personal, when it was really a matter of her personal health, not their personal feelings or opinions. Even refusing to give my wife their name for a complaint she wished to file. Apparently, it's ok for them to call her by name and have her private information, but don't want her to have their names for privacy concerns? Someone needs a re-education in patient care services. The resident Dr., Tony Chan, never followed through with specialist referrals. She had to keep calling and dealing with the ladies in the office who are argumentative on the phone, simply to make sure she was receiving adequate care. Tony Chan never even followed up on specialist notes when she finally was referred after months of neglecting her medical needs. If you value your health and are seeking a caring professional staff, don't use this office. They're not professional and don't care about their patients.

I cannot express enough how unprofessional the staff is here.. The ladies in this office are catty, rude, bullies. They don't care about what health issues are bringing you to this office, what kind of stress you're dealing with, or how their attitude contributes to your overall experience and healthcare. I have been openly laughed at, had eyes rolled at me, argued with, hung up on, and blamed for their very poor professional etiquette. All of this just to follow up with the medical care the residents *aren't providing their patients... Their modicum of professionalism would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. If you need specialists, don't expect the residents to follow through. If you need answers, you'll get guesses and broad brushed assumptions. If you're looking for preventive care, you'll get dismissive comments about how young you are or healthy you are, even when you're absolutely not. I never wanted to be the person who would dismiss a resident simply because they were learning to build on their experience, now I have experienced such abysmal care, I cannot bring myself to gamble my healthcare in a less than mediocre medical practice any longer.

Long wait times, not only when you have an appointment scheduled, but on the phone lines as well. Not helpful at all. Tried to be patient - they are learning still - but we can't do this. You are right about my IUD replacement. I had nine months left until it "actually" was the five years. It isn't a medical reason I wanted to have it replaced, but convenience and human reason. Forbid that I figured it would save us both. I forgot doctors would rather have the money- help the insurance places not only leach off of my hard earned money, but you as well. Nine months. Another 3,000$ deductible out of my pocket. Then to say that my husband can't have certain medications he has needed and had for years passed unless he saw his residence doctor??? I haven't even seen my doctor in over a year. Needless to say, big ball dropped by CMMC/the residency.
