I came in to get a wisdom tooth removed after I had a problem with a different dentist who didn't finish the job. I called here and they were able to get me in the same day for an emergency extraction. Dr. Coakley and his staff are absolutely amazing and the friendliest dentist I've ever been to. They were so kind and treated me with the absolute best care! I highly recommend Dr. Coakley to anyone who is scared of going to the dentist because he is the most reliable and respectful dentist I have ever met. He really knows what he's doing and has so much experience and knowledge. They made the entire experience wonderful for me.
Note: this review is not regarding Dr Coakley’s expertise as a dentist, rather the business practice and lack of due diligence in insurance verification. My husband Todd and I wrongfully got cards in the mail for delta dental insurance and care plus, when we only signed up for care plus. When Todd showed up to Dr Coakley’s office to get work done, assuming he is covered by this dentist within his network with Delta, Dr Coakley’s office should have double checked his assumption for accuracy. Todd got several appointments for dental work performed on him, and got charged $1000 out of pocket, when all the bills should have been covered by insurance. Opportunity for Improvement Dr Coakley: please check your patients’ insurance information and verify that the new patient is indeed covered by the card they present to you. Give them a price estimate before proceeding with work on their teeth. Let them know in advance, how much will be covered by insurance and how much needs to be paid out of pocket. This should be done by your office before the patient gets any work done so there are no surprises on payment owed after work has already been performed. You could have saved us $1000 by educating us on how the insurance system works. Instead, as new patients who are new to this kind of dental insurance, we feel we could have been guided better by dentists who have been in the health insurance system for decades and saved us money out of pocket. An advanced estimate bill of work to be performed would have been true informed consent. We did not consent to $1000 out of pocket costs.
They got me in within hours for an emergency. My 1st time being seen. The staff is professional and friendly. And Dr. Coakley is the best dentist I've seen. My root canal was totally painless! He explained every step. And put me at ease.
Dr. Coakley has been and continues to be a great dentist for my entire family. He does excellent work and even finds out how we best want to be contacted for appointments. I was really surprised when he remembered that my son was on his High School golf team. He even asked me how his season had gone. That personal touch means a lot to me. Proud patient for 4 years and counting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I just had my first visit. They were on time, very kind, and they did an awesome job. They even took before and after photos for me which I have never had before. Overall a seriously great experience, I can't recommend them enough!
I called their office to make an appointment and the receptionist asked if I have any dental insurance. I told them that I have Delta Dental Insurance. I was immediately told they no longer accept new clients. They could've tell me this at the start.
