Store is very good, has a lot of different kind of glasses and the service is good. The optometrist there is super nice and friendly. The workers might not have the best personality but the optometrist is what made me give 5 stars to this place. I don’t know why this place has a 2 star rating, I honestly think it’s underrated and is recommended when getting your eyes checked or buying glasses.
Think twice before you visit. 1. Overprice 2. Unprofessional—-My prescription only has degrees. They don’t write down if it’s left eye or right eye. They don’t write down PD. please practice with profession. 3. Fraud—-I didn’t get my glasses, and they charged me $361 after insurance. I spoke to the manager. She said she will refund. It’s been a month, I never got my money back nor a product. I called several times, and it seems like I am unable to speak to the manager any more.
Normally, when reviews are this bad, there is something to them. However, I had a perfectly fine experience here. The Optometrist, Dr. Yan, is awesome. If you look him up, he’s got great reviews. The opticians were really nice, too. And they speak Spanish and play Spanish music. I didn’t see anything wrong with this establishment.
Wanted to add my 2 cents as I can't stand this place. SAVE YOUR WALLET & YOUR EYES! Buyers beware - this place WILL rip you off. The last time I went to this place, they tried charging me to receive my prescription. That is ILLEGAL! Anyone with glasses is entitled, by law, to their prescription WITHOUT having to pay. On top of all that, another eyecare place told me the prescription this place prescribed me was so off, they don't even know WTF this place was even thinking. This particular location is full of nasty crooks. I have personally experienced the people at the front desk being rude & talking badly about customers. I'd recommend going to a Cohen's in the city before I EVER recommended this place.
i was a regular customer from this location all my contacts and glasses were from there Even that the glasses are over priced, which I understand it's a business they have to make it up some how right But when i wanted to replace the lenses on my old pair I believe she assumed I didn't want to spend more on new glasses, she keep asking me questions even do I was very clear that I wanted the same exact lenses I had; she offered the ones that change color. she always says "it's better" on what ever item that is more expensive I noticed that on every single visit. Not even the frame I purchase was $680 with the lenses I was planing to buy 1 more Because the one I have still in great condition She seemed annoyed when I asked for the price only for the lenses. I'm a sales person myself and I personally understand the importance of the costumer satisfaction and confort and with this I don't expect someone to kiss my feet But honestly I don't appreciate someone that only cares about making a sale. And that's true they charge extra on glasses even when insurance covers some of the glasses. I will never come back to this store I don't know this lady sandra owns the store or she's related to the owner Because I've seen her for many years I wish her the best and hope she understands one day that money is not Everything in the world.
Yeah guys avoid this place completely. I’m sorry but this place is not the place to go for glasses. Too expensive and also one of the workers that work in the front is rude/racist. No question about it. I wanted to take a picture of a pair of glasses to keep it as future reference and might come back for them because I liked the frame. One of the workers told me it was okay, and then the rude one came out of no where saying I can’t. It just makes me laugh. Next time put a sign saying no photos are allowed idiots.
If there is an option to put zero starts i would. So, I went the Tuesday to check if my coverage from my job covered my prescription and glasses at this store. There were 2 Asian ladies at the counter and i notice that one of the had a accent from Central or South America, I started to speak in Spanish and she follow up with a fluent spanish dialect. Then I showed my insurance documents and she said that i was elegible to a group of selected frames and eye exam and i said great. She informs me that the doctor was not here that day and the he will come back starting Thursday and from so on i could schedule and appointment. I selected Sunday early in the morning when they open. Now the young Asian lady gave a transparent box displaying 20 to 30 frames that looked very poor and that looked that were the left over that nobody wanted to buy. I asked if there was more and she said that this was it and that all branches carried the same model frames for this coverage. I remember that in the other Branch at Bellevue hospital they had more and attractive frames under my coverage but i did not said nothing. I arrived Sunday today at 10am and the same lady was there with another guy that went inside at the back of the store. I said good morning and took out of my face my sun glasses. While taking my sun glasses out, the screw was lose and the glass from the right side came out and fell on the floor. The lady saw that and while i picking it up i asked if the doctor was onsite to take the eye examn. She said he is transit and she went out to the front door to give him probably a call and ask where he was. When she went back to the counter, I asked if she could help me adjust and tight the screw on my sun glasses. Before i finish to say my line and tells that this was going to cost me 6$ for the service. I paused, I looked at her and she looked into the air. Then I asked if the little rubber pads that touches my nose on my sun glasses frame could be replaced? And again, before i finished asking my question, she said 3$ for the pair. I paused and I slowly said, Ok? I walked back to my book bag where was in the chair next to the wall angry, confused and shocked i said told her cancel my apppointment. She gave a faint smurk and looked into the air and said OK right away, ignored me and jump to the second customer. I prepared my bookbag secure my broken sun glases and left. Upset from the bad customer care and experince i walked and looked for other stores but many were closed.
Absolutely the worst customer service place I've been in recent memories. Walked into the store Tuesday evening looking for a designer frame. The two ladies behind the counter barely say a word. Then I walked around looking through a sea of frames on display behind the glass counter for more than 15 minutes. I eventually walked right out, certainly not be spending my money at a garbage store such as that. Oh by the way, not that they were busy-- in fact I was the only customer in the store at the time. One person was there before I walked in but walked out too few minutes after. Not sure this location is isolated for this sort of behavior, I haven't been to their other stores. Certainly not going back, at least not to this one.
Do not come here. They'll lure you in with promises of a great replacement warranty, then once damaged, let you know it only covers manufacturers defects. It took an ENTIRE WEEK without glasses my vision is awful before they told me they would not repair/replace them. Awful overpriced service, and they will not stand behind their cheaply made products. Get the model numbers for the frames you like and just order them on amazon. You'll save a lot of time and hassle.
So yeah Im Making this review very publicly, Since you insist on trying to be smart towards doing your mess and then hiding your hands and Just not good Business at all which is why I am doing it this way a review could either make you or break you. I started doing business with these people way back in 2011 faithfully I even went all the way to recommending them. Bad idea never recommend something you don’t even like, I just walked out of their business April 27, 2018 4:16pm and you know what, you can keep the $250.00 you duped me out of with your worthless cheap merchandise , that’s how much you cost yourself out of a good client like myself, to the lady in the front counter who thinks she’s super slick and told me my eyewear would be ready by Monday you can keep them or donate to someone who really can’t afford it and who falls underprivileged with your shady practices. Don’t even bother calling me cause I am definitely not ever walking into your establishment ever again and to the people who this establishment serves if you go here Just know that you are not even paying for what you really deserve.
