Great little local restaurant. Was staying in Brooklyn for a bit and there’s nothing like these type of spots. Great home cooked type food! Came here twice, once for some quick empanadas for breakfast and the other for lunch. Rotisserie chicken, rice, beans and vegetables for $20USD. Great price, great portion, great food & great people.
Skip the new chichi places in the neighborhood and experience authentic Latin American soul food from this local stalwart. The cooks are courteous, accessible, and will cook anything anyway you want. The portions are generous and the prices are affordable. There are tasty vegetarian dishes options too.
We tried this place based on the ratings. It did not exceed our expectations. The food was set up buffet style but cold. We were sold large portions. The beef was tough and the chicken was dry. It was not seasoned to my expectations. I felt robbed even though I left a tip. The staff was very nice. But we were not greeted. They also wore no gloves.
First time i come here, food was DELICIOUS freshly made and Chicharrón was AWESOME very crunchy.. Loved it
New establishment and new ownership. What made this spot uniquely special, was the atmosphere. The familial setting that you desperately crave as a foreigner in the city. Thank you Franklin. My experience walking into your shop was special. Cuisine: Rice was healthy, fresh and colorful. I’m not one to enjoy rice but this felt and tasted like a homemade meal. If you can nail the basics, then I certainly trust what they’re capable of here. I will happily recommend this establishment to all friends and family. -Diana Castro
The perniel is the best empanadas are also delicious. Great and friendly service. I would highly recommend you stop in or order to go.
Just wandered in because I was near by, so good! Modestly priced, just a casual, family atmosphere, but the food was deeply flavorful, pork chops charred and robust, mofungo properly cooked and yummy. I'll be back
comida criolla. has always been good. occasionally they mess up your order, but have been accommodating.
Very good international food, friendly attentions, can order Salmon on the Grill with Boiled Vegetables; specialty in American Cuisine!
Got over charged. Not making a big deal out of it but do add up your total before hand. Steak sandwich $6.25 not even that good W/extra cheese. $0.50 Papaya shake $4.00 decent but the cup is half full, the rest is foam. Drink start at red line pictured below Cheese pastelillos $1.50 ×2 cold/hard Total should have been $12.25 I was charged $16... no tax cuz i paid cash not by card. Idk if its me but the math doesnt add up. Even if there was tax, its not gonna be $4 in taxes
