I broke my ankle in July, and this place was the third rehab I finished my stay at when my ankle finally mended. Here, I believe you can tell the staff care about its residents as if they were family. There have been people who have worked here for years, who know people by name, and treat people as humans, not another nameless face. Physical and occupational therapy are really consistent in accomplishing realistic therapy goals for patients, really listening to therapy needs. Literally, I would just be naming every single therapist from physical and occupational therapy department to toot everyone’s horn, and then suddenly this review would be too long lol. Activities with Batch and Rachel are excellent in engaging the residents. They are very happy and cheerful, and create activities that both residents and staff can engage in and build camaraderie. Many thanks to Julie for creating and maintaining a warm, active, and loving home for people who need short term care or extended care for longer stays.
I used to work there and they held a contest to re-name the facility and whoever's name they chose will win $100. I entered the name "College Park Rehabilitation Center" I continued working there for another two months and ended up parting ways with the company Wich was I.H.S. about a week after I quit I went to get my last paycheck and noticed a temporary banner hanging over the old front entrance sign that had the name I had entered into the contest. So I went to my former boss in housekeeping and told him my name was picked for the contest and that I want my $100. He responded. You're no longer an employee so you don't get the $100. Lol
If 1/2 a star were available I would have used it. This place needs work. It's dirty, the walls the bathroom, its just nasty. My Aunt died here and I saw her trying to get help several times- it took took forever. I even went and spoke to the head of nursing, Didn't help one bit. Avoid this place.
