Have been a member for almost 20 years and cancelled recently. I have often talked with management about the lack of "perks" for long-term members. A pancake breakfast or a happy hour does not cut it. I took family members off my membership over a year ago and it was never processed. I would give five stars to the training staff on the floor and one to the corporate policies. Going elsewhere that is easier on my wallet.
Ample tennis courts - indoor and outdoor and all are in excellent shape. Tennis Staff is organized, and experienced and caters to members' needs. Management is friendly and professional. The indoor and outdoor pools and locker rooms are well-appointed and clean. Gym equipment is modern and with multiples of most types, one can always find a machine or station that's available. Indoor basketball court is in great shape and multiple hoops allow for ample practice spots. Bar is well stocked and the food options are excellent. Member events are varied and well organized. If you're looking for an athletic club membership for the family that emphasizes variety and value over "cheap" CAC-Monaco is the place for you.
Beware they lie when you sign up! Robert the membership agent signed me up on a 3 month contract. I went to the gym a few times, and it was not for me! I ended up paying all the 3 months. I sent in a cancellation 45 days prior to my last month per our agreed contract which was only a 30 day written notice. They charged again on the 4th month which was not supposed to be! I called several times and spoke to Jeffrey in membership and explained the situation. He told me they would refund my money. They did not so I called several times again after 30 days and he referred me to the cooperate office Well Bridge who where very uncooperative and said any verbal promises made by there employees are not valid. Horrible company!!!
Go to ANY other gym. There is a clear reason why its empty. They could care less about you, just what account they can charge. Decided to signup for the summer while I was back from school. Was forced to sign a 3 MO agreement May-July, which I hesitantly did. Upon cancelling they stated I never gave a 30 day notice, I turned in my cancellation sheet 30+ days prior, they said it wasn’t scanned In. Had to pay for the month of August when I wasn’t even in the state. The next month, I am charged again, been out of state for over a month, the gym then somehow won the dispute. Do yourself a favor and go to Lifetime, for the price you’ll get respect you deserve.
Don't Join. The biggest scam. Place is disgusting, staff huddle around each other gossiping about guests and members. Racist staff and dirty. Equipment broken, jalopy of a facility. They also won't respond to cancellations and cling to a game of gotcha threatening collections. The worst club in the West. Horrendous service, out-dated bizarre they are in business. I expect they just want to make enough money each month just to sneak buy til the whole place is purchased, the land worth more than this business by far.
We like this place, and joined for the summer, basically so our children could use the pool. I use the gym, never busy, always clean. They still have racquetball courts so that's the sort of place it was. It's getting more modern. Parking can be a problem if there's a tennis tournament or swim meet.
I love my gym. I'm so at home here. Sure, it's not the latest-greatest suburban monstrosity like 24 hour fitness, but it has everything I want in a gym and more. My son has blossomed as a tennis player under Wendy's expert tutelage. I use the steam room, sauna, and hot tub almost daily. It's right on a fantastic bike trail, so I can bike there. I love CAC Monaco. I hope they never sell out.
Was a member here for years because it's so close. But the facility is a dump and the staff is completely apathetic. Don't even get me started on management. Anyone worth a dime was always gone in under a year. Finally quit and just use the Denver Rec Centers. They're actually nicer, a little smaller but nicer, and cost me about 12% of what this club cost. Cook and Eisenhower Park are nicer facilities for a fraction of the cost.
I was a guest today. This place is REALLY nice. A lot of courts in pristine condition
DON'T DO IT! I ended up moving and they tried charging me for more than the one month I worked out there and then just sent me a bill for $900 threatening collections! I even wrote a letter to their headquarters like the contract said. I tried communicating with them but they sent me to voicemail and never called me back. They never returned emails either. Worst gym I have ever dealt with!
