Columbia Mall

They say shopping brings you happiness. But not here. Just sadness and emptiness. Except the puppies and kitties in the pet store. Until you realize they’re probably mill babies. And the lone restaurant in the food court that so desperately needs business they’re giving out free samples. And watching the poor lady whose job is to clean the already clean food court but she can’t because there’s nobody there! I wish I can say my soul is crying but it’s already dead... Like this mall.

For a city this size, our mall is an absolute JOKE. Anchor stores like Macy’s are gone, Sears is looking like they’re next and the rest of the mall has empty shops. The food court has like 1 or 2 places to eat. The rest of the area is empty. It’s really sad to see the mall going down. In the years to come I don’t see this mall even making it. Unless they can pour money into making it a fun and exciting shopping center again, there is no hope for this mall. I hope some investors come in and revamp the entire complex. I’m not holding my breath though.

Great mall with a decent amount of stores, though most of them are small and the food court isn't anything to brag about. I live on Thief River Falls and have to drive an hour to go to Columbia, the nearest mall, but if I lived in Grand Forks I might consider going to Fargo for a larger shopping selection. As far as cleanliness is concerned though, it's a wonderful, and the janitors are always extremely polite and friendly.

I wish I could rate higher...it's always clean and the pet store is awesome. The corner stores are nice as well, but there are just so many storefronts not filled. The closing of Macy's definitely didn't do the mall any favors. Wish there were more food court options as well...malls seem to be struggling in general but the Columbia mall pales in comparison to the Fargo, Bismarck, and Minot malls; maybe it's a management issue...

Nice mall but it hasn't changed all that much. I've been coming here for 25 years and everytime I think to myself this place will be shut down in 5 yrs Never much going on and the mall. Fun Spot to watch people and get harassed by the booths that are set up in the middle. No I don't want to buy sunglasses!!!!!! Pretty simple to navigate through the best part is the large pretzels which you'll find in the middle of the mall. Another Outlet I like is Ragstock. If you're freaky feel free to go to Hot Topic and Spencers. Guaranteed to see some green hair and piercings there. I love that they added Scheels on
