Not bad for a good very location in Portland. Service has been pretty good, to just OK on different occasions. They are VERY serious about closing for a complete to-the-minute lunch hour period. We were a bit early, and even after the staff came back from lunch, we still had to wait an additional 10 or so minutes while "they" carted around the park and had important things to do before checking us in.
If you need a one night stop, this RV park works well. Right off I5. Down side, right in the flight path of the airport. There were hardly any planes after about 9pm, so that was good. Some of the permanent residents have unkempt sites. Our friends site was right next door to a resident that had an outdoor cat cage and lots of stuff stacked around. Like I said, worked fine for a stop over. Grounds and public buildings were clean.
50 amp, clean, quiet & well cared for RV Park. Very easy to book on their website. For our 40’ motorhome the pull through was a bit narrow & challenging to turn in to. Super convenient to downtown. Large percentage of full timers with tidy sites. Park is in the airport flight plan but we didn’t hear the planes unless outside. We would stay again but wouldn’t be our first choice.
We have stayed here short term and long term months, I should have reviewed them sooner. The ladies in the office are so helpful, they have gone out of their way for us a few times and are always so personable! The park is clean, quiet and convenient location. They do their best in the big city of Portland at security as well.
Service was great. Security top notch but the sites are small with no picnic tables. Too close to your neighbor so there’s not much space to set your chairs up without sitting and staring at your neighbors wall. Busy road so taking a walk was hard and there is no way to walk the riverbank without driving to a park further up. It’s a great place to stop for the night when passing through because it’s safe and secure in a big city, but it’s not our idea of “a destination park.”
The park is located in a convenient location, just outside of Portland. It is relatively affordable, with rates starting at $40 per night. The park has full hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well-maintained. There is a laundry facility on-site. The park is pet-friendly. Cons: The park is mostly full of long-term residents, so it can be noisy and crowded during the summer months. The sites are small and close together, so there is not a lot of privacy. The sewer connections are outdated and can be difficult to use. The park is not very well-maintained, and the grounds can be a bit messy. Overall, the Columbia River RV Park is a budget-friendly option for RVers looking to stay near Portland. However, it is important to be aware of the downsides before booking a stay. If you are a short-term visitor, be prepared to get some side eye from the full-time residents. They may not be happy that you are paying more than they do to stay in the park. Make sure to bring extra sewer cables, as the connections are outdated and can be difficult to use. If you are looking for a quiet and secluded place to stay, this is not the park for you. It is best suited for RVers who are looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay while exploring Portland. I hope this helps!
Society has for years now moved into this van-life era where we see younger generations pouring money into vintage rigs and keeping them on the road. We are one of those couples. Our van unfortunately falls outside of this establishments age requirements despite it being perfect condition and painstakingly maintained over the years. We looked forward to supporting this rv park as we need to find a dependable spot within Portland while we are here for work, which will be 25 weeks a year for the foreseeable future. I'm looking forward to finding other locations that welcome older rigs. After all, we see plenty of trash and poor representation from every age of vehicle out there, not just older ones. I understand not wanting project cars etc in your establishment but from a business standpoint you are greatly excluding a huge market by using age to measure quality.
This is a good rv park if you're on staying overnight and moving on. It's by the flight path of the airport, so lots of jets, the grass is dead and I believe there are quite a few people living here. Facilities are clean.Service: 4/5
I have 5g coverage on my phone and it always said 5g. I checked my providers coverage on my phone and it definitely has full service in this area yet I can't use my phone. I have legal issues to deal with and my internet doesn't work. I never saw any other people here except on guy with two dogs but I keep my headphones in now days weather they work or not. I have never even seen the front office here. I have one more day and night here and hopefully it goes ok mediocre.
Stayed one night. clean park with nicely kept sites. We saw a few sites in violation, but overall very clean! Sites are large. Booked a site up front and got one in the far back. Don’t expect the site you chose. They may change it like ours. Bathrooms had zero hot water so no showers. Overhead fighter jets were loud! Overall we really thought the park was well kept and a good place to stop while in Portland.
