Dave Khuc was our real estate agent. He is extremely disorganized. He constantly mixes us up with another unit, cannot connect us properly to the landowner, and calls at random times most convenient to him. He seems amiable in person but is constantly rushed over phone and text. He claimed to have a private listing he doesn’t show any other clients, which is just a sales tactic because he pulled the same stunt with our building neighbors. He also reassured us the unit will be completely clean before we moved in but it was not. Did I mention the roaches we were greeted with as soon as we moved in?We pay a hefty brokers fee and this is the service that we receive. Real estate agents are overall bad in the Allston area but maybe this review can save you from dealing with at least one of them.

Suraj was great! He lined up a bunch of units in a row for us, and we were able to view half a dozen units in an hour. I liked this approach, as we were able to get a good sense of the market and compare different options. His selection of units was great, and we were really excited about quite a few of them. He's friendly, trustworthy, and generous with his time, and I'd highly recommend working with him.

Do not reach out to David. Seriously I even googled him after this interaction and there’s a Reddit thread about how unprofessional and rude he is to existing tenants and potential tenants. He’s condescending and very unprofessional. I reached out about an apartment, granted it had a no pet policy and I have a cat. In my experiences you are able to negotiate a lease, it’s even under tenants/ landlords rights on Mass.gov. I wanted to see if the pet policy was flexible because I’ve had that happen a few times where a cat could be an exception. Most landlords I’ve dealt with do not want dogs in their apartments. I had no response to any messages over a week, which Boston rentals move fast and I messaged multiple times. I had to email the realty company directly. He responded via email and only said to call or text. So I text him. He then called me and had a poor attitude from the moment I answered. He asked one or two questions. I then asked if the pet policy was negotiable or if a cat could be an exception. He scoffed and said the listing says no pets. I tried to explain and he interrupted me saying “no cats” and I said ok. And before I could say anything else he hung up on me. Didn’t offer alternative listings or anything most places I have reached out to have been extremely nice and sent other listings. Horrible first experience and I would advise everyone to avoid this realty company or at least working with David Khuc.

An agent from this company just now let himself into my apartment, without advance notice or even a knock on the door. He said he didn't know I was still living there!!
