If you want cheap, fast repairs, this isn't the place for you. If you want someone who is going to take the time to go through your engine piece by piece and restore/replace it, this is where you want to go.
The quality of work done at CARS, Inc has been good to excellent, in my experience. I've had other mechanics check the work after each visit (NOTE: I don't trust any mechanic, this isn't a reflection of CARS, Inc.) The work always takes longer than expected and costs more than the initial quote; however, this is the cost of restoring old vehicles. Classic cars, their parts, and services are expensive. It is done out of a love for the vehicle, not to save a dollar on a service, repair, or restoration.
My only negative remark is that there are often smaller details that are overlooked or that I would have wanted/expected to be addressed. To this point, Mike Free, the owner, and I have had a difference of opinion from time to time, BUT he is always willing to work it out and come to a mutual agreement in the end. That sort of willingness to work with a customer's concerns goes a long way towards my decision to continue to do business here.

I would like to start off by saying that I am the owner of CARS INC . and Mr. Tom Morgan came to me on a car that he just needed to get running again . the car set up for over 20 years and wanting me to get it started and running again . I quoted to him it would be around 400 to 450 dollars to look at it and get running . BUT what Tom didn't say is that the car needed a lot more work done to it LIKE replacing the wiring in the car and all new fuel system and new fuel tank and carburetor's needed to be rebuilt and the brake system was gone in it . the valves needed to be re-do and you could have spent 4,000.00 on this car and still not get everything fixed on it . Thanks a lot Tom / KMA , people like this is the problem . Amanda Wright had a old 1960 ford and it had a lot of problems [ again a car that needed a lot of money put in it to get it running right ] but Amanda is a nice lady , but these old cars cost a lot to get running again . I have worked on 1000's of customers cars and trucks over the years and you will get people like this every now and then that what ever you do want make them happy . Sorry , but I have to take up for myself . If I did something wrong then call me up and I will make it right . People don't realize that these old cars cost a lot to get them running again [ COMMON SENSE !!! ] .

Took my antique car in to be fixed. After having my car for over two weeks they inform me that they did some extensive work but it didn't fix my car. The owner quotes me a price for parts for further work that is at least $100 over the actual price and I decide to pick up my vehicle and pay what's owed. The owner then insults me by telling me these cars have no value except you're sentimental memories, which is ridiculous. I finally saved enough money to get my car to a different mechanic and they just informed me that they have to replace some of the parts this yayhoo supposedly fixed. Don't get hosed by this seemingly good old country boy!

i took my stepfathers corvair to Mike as a surprise. he was supposed to replace the brakes, clean the carburetors and put in a gas tank. he said the bill would be 400 to 450 dollars. after a month of being jerked around i had to call mike and tell him to quit working on the car. i had to get a tow truck to pick the car up. it wouldn't stop and it wouldn't run. the brakes had to be completly redone and the carbs had to be cleaned. he did get the gas tank fixed but charged alot more than he said. the total bill was $1800. i am a 55 year old male that has been to hundreds of mechanics and this guy is the worst i have ever dealt with. don't go there.
