Genuinely great group of guys that obviously have a lot of experience and are efficient, the gentleman helping me helped install all my software with me only asking help for windows WHILE WORKING ON A PC he also fixed my wiring that I plugged in wrong. These guys are great know what they are doing and are very friendly there should be no debate on where to go for pc related stuff.
I’m usually hesitant when going to get my computer repaired due to poor previous experiences. However my experience with Perry was exceptional, he was courteous and professional the entire time. If you need to repair or diagnose an issue with your computer. This store is your best bet.
Had an issue with my HP laptop not finding the wireless at all at home. After time spent with HP assistance, they determined the wireless card had failed and needed to be replaced. They shipped me a new card at no charge because of warrantee but I ended up not feeling comfortable replacing it myself. After calling two big chain places and not getting through to a human being, I did a search and found this place. A human answered on the 2nd ring and said they could help me with the issue and to just come by. I did. James went through the system checking some things and long story short, ended up fixing it without having to replace the wireless card. He was very friendly and thorough and gave some suggestions and recommendations. And it was all very affordable. Glad I found them and I highly recommend this place to assist you with your tech issues when they come up.
Places like Computer Renaissance are so important to our communities. I need two small parts for a rebuild replacement motherboard standoffs and PCI dust covers and they had exactly what I needed the day I needed them. Excellent customer service, fantastic shop.
Went to get thermal paste which was reasonably enough priced considering they markup other products over a 100% ie GPUs. Shopping here is supporting scalpers and this business is part of the problem. Would not recommend. Never thought I would say this but go down the street to best buy for a better deal. ** Update After Owner Response** Owner is clearly lying. Even his employee felt guilty selling them at marked up scalper pricing. Added pictures to show proof. Enough said.
Without these guys in town I would have been screwed! I bought a $2000 PC pre-built on Newegg that would randomly trip off and restart every hour or so, very annoying while photo editing. After a few back-and-forth interactions with Newegg I gave up and called Computer Renaissance. Brian who I believe is the owner? was fantastic to deal with and commiserated with my experience, lol. After bringing the tower in, Brian promptly within a day or two determined that the CPU was defective. Newegg replaced the CPU on warranty via mail and Computer Renaissance held my tower at their shop for 3-4 weeks without charging any storage fees. You're never going to get a "deal" on video cards from these guys vs. buying online except maybe Black Friday; but I will support these guys as much as I can, because without them, my $2K Newegg PC would've likely been sitting as a brick after exhausting my options with customer service emails. By the way...it only cost me 165 bucks for the whole bill....including the cost of a new heat sink per Brian's recommendation....because unfortunately the one I got stock from Newegg was trash could've contributed to CPU death?. Brian also upgraded my cord management game in my tower for free. TL;DR: Without these guys in Anchorage we're screwed on computer maintenance resources. Had a great experience. Newegg pre-builds can sometimes suck.
Screen replacement on 2 laptops went very well, prices were fair, but went well
While building my new PC, I needed a special cable that I had broke. They gave me solid advice on tracking on down and showed me their best options. The next day I needed some random mounting hardware. I went in and they were so helpful! They let me dig through their scrap hardware to find what they need. They didn’t have to be so helpful, but they were, and very nice while doing it. Will definitely return.
Came twice it showed open on the maps but was closed. What’s the problem to adjust time on the maps so people don’t waste their time?
Don't normally leave reviews, but this computer shop's customer service has been nothing but awesome. They helped us diagnose multiple issues with my gaming PC build with quick and easy advice. Would definitely come back to buy more products or have them help me with any other computer issues.
