Anshe Sfard is an Orthodox Synagogue located in the heart of the old Jewish neighborhood of New Orleans. Our building is nearly 100 years old, and the beautiful main sanctuary is still used every Shabbat morning for services. There is a weekly Kiddush lunch after Shabbat services.
Anshe Sfard is a warm and welcoming environment for both local members of the Jewish community, as well as for visitors. As the closest synagogue to the CBD and French Quarter, we welcome hundreds of visitors each year for Shabbat and holiday prayers and meals. We seek to be a beacon of Torah light to the entire New Orleans community
