Our first time here and it was amazing! Awesome animals, super easy to navigate, really nice viewing spots, super clean and taken care of! Really great greenhouse too! Just pack your own food though, the food is okay but a little pricy!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Nice zoo not too large with a good variety of endangered species. Came in early April and it seemed like some of the facilities were still closed and some of the exhibitions were slightly underwhelming. Also, they encourage you to buy tickets online but no one checks them and seems like you can just walk in for free. Lunch at the Peacock cafe was good but no hot drinks except for tea which was upsetting on a rainy day. The outdoor play area for kids is lovely and overall, had a good experience. Would probably visit again at some point but during the summer.
I love this zoo. I've been going here since I was a kid. I have a 2 yr old. This is his second time here. He loves to it. It's a great place to let your child run around, explore, and get some energy out.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
Beautiful little zoo. We were in the area and decided to stop by with our 2 year old. It was raining, but we decided to go anyway. Too bad they didn't sell rain poncho or umbrella in the store. But after the rain past it was nice walk and great experienceVisited onWeekend
A great zoo. Sadly I have to give it 4 stars and not five for two reasons. Firstly it is impossible to book a ticket online if you do not live in the USA. Believe me I tried and it was highly frustrating. Luckily you can buy at the door and the staff there were very understanding about my issue and were fantastic but the website issue does need to be resolved for international visitors otherwise they may end up putting people off. My second reason for only putting 4 stars is the zoo appears to be a bit under development at this time so not all exhibits were on and as I've recently been to another zoo nearby I have to compare with the same to provide a honest review. However it I'd would also like to state that the same is still worth a visit if you are in the area and the animals that we did see were fantastic. The red pandas are big show offs and u think its worth going just to see them two. The zoo is undertaking improvements and with lots of visitors will only go from strength to strength over time so please do visit the same if your in the area to support them in the same.
This zoo isn't the biggest but it's definitely worth the trip. If you live around the area, it's probably a place you'll take the kids more than once. We've gone quite a few times as a family of animal lovers and never leave disappointed. While it tends to get crowded at warmer months, there are still awesome experiences you can really only see when it starts to get cooler. Love exploring this place with my family!
I had an incredible day at Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo with Krystal Life by the Billings and her adorably cool boys! We shared laughter, deep conversations, and even tried communicating with the animals some gave us soul-staring responses!. Every moment of our adventure was filled with joy and wonder. It's a memory I'll cherish forever. Highly recommend this zoo for a fun-filled day out with loved ones! Marisa Balletti-Lavoie
I love this zoo! It's small, and it's great for taking things slow and really getting to spend time watching the animals at each exhibit; there's no rush to make it to each exhibit!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Really cool zoo! Good assortment of animals, especially for the Northeast. Most of the animals were out and active. I can't wait for the springVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
The park is great and the zoo is wonderful for your family to visit. There are more events now than before. Recently, we attended the light festival. Fantastic display of animals made out of lanterns and lights.
