Don't waste your money here. They don't actually teach you the correct way to prepare for the test in my opinion. I suggest you buy some practice tests online and figure out how to dissect each question so you know how to find it in the book. The fact that they don't let you take their practice tests home is beyond me. It's a terrible environment with annoying, control freak staff. You are much better off watching youtube videos and doing online practice tests with your code book. It will save you hundreds of $. Trust me, not worth it.
Good service, they do what they advertise! Passed my exam on the first go. Assistants were helpful enough.
This place would get 5 stars if one particular lady was not employed there. The older lady Carol that is there mainly evenings is so discouraging. This doesn't seem like the first complaint about this woman either based off the other reviews. She makes the atmosphere very unpleasant for the students. You go to ask her a question and she sighs and makes noises that makes it seem like she is annoyed by you. We called to complain and she fully admitted to rolling her eyes because "you asked a question right when we were closing" . Good thing for phone call recording apps because we recorded the whole call for proof. That is not ok for people who actually need help. Your office says if you don't ask questions you won't learn, but how can you ask when you have staff that makes you feel horrible? I do not think some of her coworkers like working with her either because one of them actually encouraged us to complain. Being a teacher, I would NEVER roll my eyes at my students for them asking me for help. Attend with caution!!!
Kim and Carol are the best. I highly recommend Construction Exam Center for test prep in the construction industry. I have taken several classes with them and have passed my certification exams the first time. The instructors in the classroom are very helpful when I had questions or could not figure out a problem. Kim and Carol are both very strict on coping any of their materials and taking it out of the classroom. I understand completely, because they go through great lengths and expenses to keep all their testing information up dated with the changing ICC test. The company also has a guaranty policy, that if you attend one of their classed the min. number of hours and fail your test, you can retake that class again for free. I have taken classes in Beaumont, TX and Mobile, Al. Accommodations at the hotels are great as is the class rooms. I highly recommend Construction Exam Center for all your certification prep information. Good work to CEC
This is the place to study. Very good atmosphere Kim and Jessica are very helpful they know the stuff like the back of their hands. This was the only way i passed my journeyman exam. I am now studying for my Masters license. Thank you
I went and I learned. But the setting, class room, isn’t quiet . There are a couple of ladies who work there that when talking with others at the front are extraordinarily loud. The material, although decent, had many errors or was not clear. But it’s passable. The contractors test was very different and not very hard. I easily passed. But I easily could have saved the $800. I should have just bought the books. They did tell me though they’d give me a substantial discount if I come back for my B license. That was pure BS! They offered less than 10% off even though they said I already did 1/2 of it for my C license. So as opposed to $1200 and something they took $100 off if I went right away. When I spoke with Bill the owner after they said $100 he said he’d do $200 if I went right away. What a joke. I was thinking more like $500 as all your doing is staying in the room and going over the same or similar questions they’ve already got. And remember they were not very much like the test. Well, when I POLITELY suggested that $200 off wasn’t that great HE JUST HUNG UP THE PHONE! RUDE! I called back thinking maybe I got cut off and even Jessica said she knew, he offered $200 and then hung up on me. Basically all they want is your money and when your done they’re done with you. But they asked for me to leave a good review, so I’m doing a truthful review. I would have given 3 or 4 stars but rudeness isn’t acceptable. You could just politely say “no” and be done with it and I would have been good, but not rude. I think if you get the books and the tabs. The tabs are the important part, you’ll pass.
I have taken 2 courses through CEC for different ICC certifications that are in fields that are for the most part foreign to me. I was very pleased with the class and passed both tests on the first try. They are definitely the reason I passed both.
The best. Passed 5 exams with CEC prep. You will be ready AND confident that you will pass your exam. Never had to utilize their "guaranteed pass feature" because I've passed first time, every time.
I have attended 12 seminars with CEC and I have passed every single ICC exam on the first try. CEC is the best study course for learning the code They teach you how to use the code and how to do the calculations required for the exam. I owe my current 44 certifications to CEC. Great company with knowledgeable people. I recommend them highly
