Convenient, validated parking. They were ready for us at the scheduled time and we're friendly, quick and efficient. Bathrooms were clean.
Even with an appointment, we waited over 30 minutes to be seen. Thankfully my husband could be helped, however they said I need to go back to Germany for the same thing only because I don’t have the German passport. While I had hope for this consulate, it’s nothing more than typical Amt Ping Pong.
Conveniently located and very professional staff. Virtually zero wait time.
Quick, efficient team that took uncomplicated care of my matter even I was nearly running late. READ FOR DIRECTIONS BELOW! My only criticism is, that it’s hard to find. Don’t trust google. Make sure you read the directions on their website!! I planned ahead and still was running around cause I did not find / read it. There is very little to no signage in the building itself. And it’s def not first floor like stated in google. See directions copied from website below: Dior shop close to stairs / elevator Directions within Copley Place Shopping Mall Go to the central elevators. Take elevator up to SKYLOBBY, located above shops. Exit elevator and walk straight through glass doors to registeration desk. After registering, enter the first office tower located on your right-hand side “Three Copley Place”. Then take the elevator up to the 5th floor. Exit the elevator and turn left.
Kind people and quick service.
I’m sure this consulate does a nice job for issues that are straightforward. But anything beyond that, they will make your life miserable. As a German citizen applying for German citizenship for my infant child, I got nowhere at this consulate. I had all the required documents, but stalled when administrator HL accused my husband’s birth certificate of not being genuine! I even offered to show the receipt in my email of the original order of the document direct from the city hall, but she was not interested in seeing this. My treatment at this consulate was absolutely shocking and HL seemed to delight in making things difficult for me. Needless to say, I went to the Washington DC embassy after 3 failed attempts in Boston, and the officers were pleasant and processed my documents smoothly with no issues or accusations of forgery! If the Boston consulate gives you a hard time, just go to the DC embassy, where people are actually respectful, helpful, and capable of critical thinking.
Super nice folks who work there. We were just there today and couldn't have been treated more friendly. Of course I made sure I had all the needed documents, which was helped by equally courteous and responsive phone and email conversations. A well oiled machine, go German Consulate Boston!
I am helping my father claim his German citizenship I'm next! and every time I've visited the people behind the desk have been incredibly helpful, professional and friendly in their assistance. We are very lucky in New England to have this team here. Thank you!
Absolutely brilliant! Very helpful staff, patiently answered my questions and super efficient -- I got in an out in 9 mins and got my passport back in 3 days!
This was the best consulate experience I've had. The lady at the visa counter was so patient, efficient, and helpful. Helped me rectify some errors I made in the application and also gave an extra copy of the declaration of accuracy form which I forgot to carry.
