They were very courteous over the phone whenever we spoke about the potential work to be done. Our 21 year old water heater wasn't heating quite as much as it used to. Dave came out to the house to take a look. He said he could try to repair it but with it being so old I wasn't shocked when he suggested just replacing it. We scheduled the install and the cost of that visit applied to the install price. On the day of install Dave arrived a little early to the appointed time, which is 100% fine by me. He got the old water heater out, replaced an old shutoff valve, and installed the new water heater in about 3hrs. The new water heater was delivered right to the house and Dave exchanged the old for the new with the courier who was really funny. Dave showed me how the new one works and where the gas and water shut off valves are located before he left. He didn't leave a mess when he left either. We just had the work done so hopefully it all works just as well as the old for another 21 years. FYI they offer a pay in cash discount. Always confirm prices and discounts prior to work being done.

Just wanted to give the biggest thanks to Richard a. Cook Plumbing !!! Toilet over flowed causing severe damage to my basement, right before leaving for vacation. I Called and before I knew it they were at my house.Very friendly, great price, Professional.I would defenitly recommend to all of my friends and family. They will be my first call if I ever need a plumber again. They also referred me to a great clean up company. He totally saved my Vacation!!! Thank you.

Consumer beware! He said he’s been in business over 20 years, we agreed on a price for a water-heater replacement $1100 for 5-year water-heater. He completed job w/ no complications, then charged my credit card $1347, saying he has no way to know how much a job will cost until he completes. 20 years hasn’t taught him that apparently. Because I complained, we negotiated down to $1225, but folks should watch this guy close. I hope to find a more ethical business next time.

I had a leak on the supply side of a cut off valve to a bathroom sink. Richard A Cook's plumber came out promptly and repaired the leak. Since he was on site, I had him fix problems with 2 other sinks and also the plumbing to the dishwasher, all at a fair price. I plan to give them a call the next time I need a plumber.

A total rip off! Had to pay $100 to them for doing nothing. All he did was providing some suggestion and didn’t inspect the pipes of the bathtub throughly after experiencing water leaking in the basement every time I shower! I would not use this plumbing service ever again!!!!! If you want a free estimate and avoid the charge of the plumber coming to your place AVOID this service at all cost!!!!!! SAVE MONEY!!!!

Plumber came on time. Had some good ideas how to stop the leak and how to prevent the problem in the future. Did the work quickly and I haven’t had any additional problems. I have used Cook for plumbing issues in the past.

Called them for a simple job to unclog a drain that goes from my kitchen to the main drain. Every single house in my neighborhood is built the same way. That are over 400 homes that are built like mine. The "technician" over the phone told me that the house 'doesn't meet code.' Once he got to the house, he was constantly cussing and fussing and shouting on his phone. His blatant disregard for my house was a shocker in and of itself! He dragged dirt all over the floor, did not ask for an outlet there was one right next to him but went into the house with his filthy shoes, and plugged his plumbing equipment in my basement. The little bit of dirt that came from his snaking was strange, but he continuously tried to push a Sump Pump on us. There is no place and no need for a Sump Pump, we live on top of a hill. To make a long story short, two weeks later; the drain is clogged again! I called them today for a follow up, they refused, told me my house is illegal !? does not meet code and they refuse to fix it. Should have gone to BG & E in the first place.

We called about 10 plumbers to schedule an emergency service call for our burst pipe. It has been cold so most of them couldn't come out promptly. Richard A. Cook, though, came first and fixed our leak quickly. Thanks!
