One of the best selections of plants in Portland. Their hidden gem also has an amazing restaurant with an awesome breakfast and coffeeshop. But be warned that there is always a line to get in and eat. Whatever plant, tree or bush you need for landscaping, you'll find it here. Plus they have all sorts of planters, plant food and everything else you need for gardening. And they have chickens!
Great breakfast spot to meet friends, enjoy great food, incredible view and awesome variety and display of plants. Had the eggs Benedict and they were divine. The wait was a bit long but since there’s so much to see in the grounds it’s not too bad. It’s a bit chilly in the fall and winter so a coat is a must to walk around to admire the grounds and shop for beautiful plants as it’s mostly all open and up in the hill. Highly recommend it.
Beautiful nursery that has practically everything. There are chickens to feed. A cafe serving great food and drinks with attentive service. A bakery with coffee drinks and assorted yummy scones, etc. A huge area divided by outdoor trees, edible plants, shade plants, succulents, roses, flowers, a greenhouse full of houseplants, bonsai, groundcovers, etc. A lot. Browse all the seasonal things, right now, assorted pumpkins. It'll take hours to see everything but it's fun!
Even if you are not a gardener this is a beautiful space to walk around. Several varieties located by theme and temperament. If you have a garden-tender you are looking to buy a gift for this would be a great place to shop for them. It's location means the cost of things are slightly inflated but the friendly staff and surroundings take the sting out of that quickly.
Great nursery with wonderful plants. They have everything from annuals to veggies to conifers to fruit trees and native plants. Nice selection of indoor plants too. There is a cafe as well. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Update 6-16-22: more incredible service and help understanding if some plants I wanted would do well in my space. Great selection of pollinator plants, natives and edibles. Update 9-19-22 ate brunch in the cafe... delicious! Bought more great quality plants and received excellent service.
The Cafe serves absolutely delicious breakfast and lunch dishes. The coffee drinks are well-crafted. The grounds are lovely, of course, and it's a joy to just relax and sip a drink amongst the beauty. Check out the gift shop if you're in need of a gift for adults or kids.
I had the best experience here! Not only is it cute, but the staff was so nice! I wasn’t really sure what to get since I’m a new plant mom, but Ainsley totally calmed my nerves and gave me some great advice! Will definitely be coming back in the future
It's a lovely farm with a massive selection of plants. When you drive in, it might seem small but it's beautifully spread out over a much larger area. We went on a nice sunny weekday in February and it was filled with people. There was still ample parking, split into different sections. The collection of plants is also spread across different sections- shady plants, indoor plants, vegetable garden etc. You'll keep coming across unique little adornments everywhere- wreaths, trellises, garden sculptures. It's very tempting to buy a lot here! But the prices are relatively higher and I can see why. They seem to have put a lot of love and care and attention and it shows. The cafe was very charming too! Just a delight, all the way around.
This is the best nursery in the entire Portland metro area! Honestly! First, the nursery stock is the finest in town: fresh, very healthy, and constantly being updated. Secondly, the staff is very, very knowledgeable about all the items for sale. And they're very friendly too, willing to stop and answer any questions. And, thirdly, the selection is much larger than meets you eye. And lastly, Cornell Farms nursery is the most pleasant and fun one to visit that we've ever encountered. It's not at all like the big box nurseries Al's Gardens, Fred Meyers, Home Depot, etc. It's laid out for the casual garden walker with curved gravel pathways, shade trees, indoor or outdoor stock. They have a staff that is solely charged with making the nursery pleasant and artistic. It's a real treat to walk around the very large nursery. One more point: one of the large buildings contains a large selection of gift items that meet the seasonal and holiday needs, needs that go beyond just garden and nursery supplies. Also, these folks have a tremendous succulent supply, with some of the most artistic displays of various succulents. My wife and I go to Cornell Farm first when it's time to find a gift for a dear friend. To sum up: you are never disappointed when visiting Cornell Farm Nursery. Also, be sure to drop by their wonderful cafe to relax in the beautiful scenery.
This was such a pleasant surprise! The warm couscous salad was delicious, I stuffed my face. It has such nice scenery and so many plants! I strolled through with my baby and can’t wait to take my girlfriends here for a lunch date.
