Good experience with our cat, even though her grumpy face might say otherwise. There are covid protocols currently in place that don't allow owners inside, curbside with the Vet techs or front desk staff to pick up and drop off along with taking payment. A wellness visit for Rabies shot and check up took about 90 minutes from drop-off to pick up. Communication via phone from the doctor and staff was good, although slight miscommunication about when she was finished may have extended the time. Otherwise, will definitely be back.
Love this vet clinic. I've been taking my pets here since 2017, Dr. Rapp has been incredible with both my dog and cats. He is both compassionate and knowledgeable, and advocates for what's best for the animal without pushing unnecessary procedures. When I first moved to Anchorage Dr. Rapp caught the symptoms of an abscessed tooth in my dog that my previous vet had been dismissing my concerns about. My dog was so much happier after the tooth was removed. When I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog Dr. Rapp was incredibly kind through the whole process and took extra steps to ensure my anxious dog was comfortable before beginning, even though that meant our appointment took extra time. His kindness made a horrible situation much more bearable and looking back I am so thankful my dog was at ease through his last moments thanks to Dr. Rapp.
The staff have a nice attitude i guess, but the place is seriously expensive, seems like anything they can add to a service, they will. Took my normal, healthy 3 month old kitten there to get fixed and get her shots, ended up being about $810. Essentailly have to almost take out a second mortgage on my house just so my cat wont get knocked up. But i digress. They got the job done, but will be looking for alternate places that do a good job but are less expensive.
Been going here for years and couldn't imagine taking my dog elsewhere, even after moving to Eagle River. My dogs and cats have all been seen here and were all taken good care of.
I’m absolutely thankful for Mr.Rapp. I have been bringing my dog here for a few years now. He is so compassionate and honest about the best treatment options for my dog. He does not push unnecessary procedures and is upfront about all costs. I love his honesty and the attention he gives each individual furry patient…. Appointments aren’t easy to come by, but are worth the wait if it’s not an emergency of course
Cornerstone is great, all of the staff are caring and I can tell they want to take care of my dog. To the point they let me know what kind of treats my dog likes, without pushing a specific product that they sell. Heck they even tell me when something they sell is available online. More importantly to me, the vets there are very matter of fact with me. They lay out all of my options for treating my dog and then leave the decision to me. No guilt trips for treating my dog like a pet instead of a baby, but still bringing every option to my attention. I will continue bringing my dog here and I'll bring any other pets I end up with here as well.
Needed a complete and timely dog air travel health certificate and got it for $60 less than the last one I got elsewhere in Anchorage in July.
With all the crazy going on in this world they were there for us when it came time to send or senior hound over the Bridge. Bless them and their compassion and empathy.
I recently adopted an 8 month old rescue from the AK Bully Rescue, and she had to have her left rear leg amputated. They performed the surgery and did an AMAZING job. I have had family dogs my whole life, but never one of my own. I cannot express how incredibly grateful I am for their entire staff from the vet himself to the front desk gals. I am a "worry wart", and they take my numerous calls of questions or concerns with grace, patience, kindness and confidence in their knowledge of the matter. The vet is one of the kindest vets I have come across, and he really listens to what I have to say which is HUGE. The tech always comforts me and gives me advice about little things she notices about my pup. The front desk girls are always happy to see us, and seem to know a lot about pet care and what is normal versus what is not. They are quick and efficient, and go out of their way to make sure we are taken care of. Prices have been fair thus far granted we have not had any emergencies or anything, and for that I am more than thankful. I can't brag enough about them! They truly are a great veterinary clinic that has you and your pets best interests in mind. Thank you Cornerstone Animal Hospital staff!
Dr. Rapp is the best vet I've ever gone to for my dogs. You can tell how much he cares about his patients. Plus, his staff is truly wonderful as well.
