Country Squirrel Outfitters opened their doors in May, 2010. The original store location was in Cañon City, Colorado. Co-owners, Steve Putt & Miranda Neville moved the store to their native state of Pennsylvania in June, 2011. The current store location in Ridgway, Pennsylvania was the home of Love's Canoe Rentals and Sales for over 30 years. We're located in the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds region, which includes over 100,000 acres of forest land and 16,000 miles of streams in north central Pennsylvania. We're also on the doorstep of the Allegheny National Forest, which includes countless miles of fishing streams, hiking trails, ATV trails, and many other outdoor recreational opportunities. Our store is located on the Clarion River and we provide our customers with easy access to canoe, kayak and other small non-motorized boat launching. Located only one block from our store is the northern trailhead for the Clarion Little Toby Rails-To-Trails, which is an 18-mile multi-use trail for hikers, cyclists, XC-skiing, walkers and runners.
