Stopped in here during our road trip out east. The location is downtown and very close to everything but extremely sketchy. I would never walk alone on these streets at night. We had a hard time checking in due to a man approaching our vehicle and blocking the front of the hotel to get in apparently he frequents the area often according to regular guests. At check in we did not receive the warmest welcome by the afternoon staff- did not even say hello, just asked for ID and handed us the keys. When we asked what good restaurants are around or things we should see during our visit all she said was "i dont know" and turned around. When night shift came on we called down to ask a question at 2am and were told "i don't know, ask day staff" and hung up on us. In the morning- the women serving coffee were extremely rude to us as well and rolled their eyes when we ordered coffee, little communication was said by them. We decided after that to stay away from all communication with the staff at this hotel unfortunately and just to enjoy the surrounding area which we loved! there are so many things to see and places to eat- the staff should be more educated on what's around because just from our google searches we found so many good spots. would have been nice to have a locals opinion. Rooms were clean, parking is a bit of a walk around the corner so don't forget anything in your car. Other than that cant really say anything about the hotel itself as we tried to stay out of it.
I have not gotten a room here. I stop in because, occasionally, someone I know from a coffee shop started working here in 2017. I am disappointed that the restaurant/bistro area isn't open all day. I liked stopping in for burgers and such before the pandemic. Now, there are usually two receptionist/clerks at the front desk. They are generally cheerful and helpful. My usual stop is to the snack counter next to the front desk. There is a decent assortment of cold beverages. I think you can microwave a hot beverage or soup there. Today, I got a Starbucks brand cold vanilla latte. It's a little expensive, but not too bad. The outdoor, front entryway was clean and well lit. The doorway and lobby are likewise clean and well lit. There is a lobby seating area by the beginning of the bistro/restaurant, and that was set up well for guests to lounge and watch sports on the big screen. I like the place.
If you are looking for a quiet hotel in a quiet neighborhood Wilmington Delaware is definitely the place to go. I could not believe the town was like a ghost town at night time. I called this city the city of banks does most major banks are registered in this town due to the tax breaks. Enjoyed my visit five stars all the wayRooms: 5/5
Price doesn't reflect quality of rooms or this hotel. The only thing l liked were the beds and TV. Rooms are clean but very small. Very dark lighting.Rooms: 3/5
Friendly staff and a warm welcome everytime I walked in. The room however could have been fixed up a little. No smell or anything but some of the wallpaper was peeling off of baseboards. Giving it for starters simply because it wasn’t perfect but I would stay there again.
Unfortunately I was given a room right across from the elevator which I did not request nor did I know until I arrived. Noisy at night, street noise and sirens. Parking garage is,around the corner. Not very convenient. Front desk staff not very friendly or helpful. I travel for business and probably will not stay here again. Walkability: Not far from alot of restaurants and downtown area.
Check in was easy. The young lady at the Front Desk was extra helpful I wish that I had gotten her name! The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable! The beautiful lady at breakfast was totally awesome! We talked for a few minutes and it felt like I was talking to a friend! Twanette O "T" is a true asset to this property and I'm sure all of your employees are Thanks so much for A wonderful stay!
Website said that their Bistro restaurant was open for dinner. When I got their to check in they said it doesn’t open for dinner. Could hear literally everything coming from other rooms, the hallway, outside, and above you. Small rooms for the $200/night price tag. Pillow on couch had a stain. Small bathrooms for price also.Rooms: 2/5
This place gets the job done but if they want to go to the next level, they should improve the amenities and facility. #1 improve the breakfast experience as far offering hot and fresh food options. If there is no kitchen on-site consider building one and outsourcing its operation. #2 You must provide a way for guests to park their car and enter the hotel without going back outside. However, the staff is excellent, kind, courtesy and helpful. They are doing the best they can with cards that they have been dealt. I recommend staying here but lower your expectations as far as amenities $$.
