Coventry Animal Hospital is a locally owned and operated veterinary clinic. The clinic offers general health care for dogs, cats and exotic pets as well as surgery, digital radiology, dental care, and urgent pet care. Dr. Hank Wietsma has been practicing veterinary medicine in the RI for greater than 20 yrs. Dr. Wietsma is board certified in veterinary practice and has a special interest in avian medicine. Dr. Sam Lester has been practicing in RI since 2008. He completed an internship for additional training in emergency medicine and several additional years at an emergency and specialty veterinary clinic before moving into general practice. Dr Fred Levy has been in practice for a little under 20 years. After an internship where he received advanced training at Angell Memorial in Boston he practiced in a privately owned emergency hospital in Florida before coming to RI. Once here, he worked at OSVS for 6 years and has been in private practice since then. We were very happy he joined our team in April of 2016.
