I love this store because I can find all kinds of souvenirs on just one store there's no need to look around and carry all the bags around
Good selection of souvenirs and novelties Prices are lower than competitors mostly in my observation. Over all pretty neat
This store is deceptively large. I went in looking for gifts for my family and got taken on a journey from trinkets and key chains to beautiful New Mexican pottery and house furniture. Cool shop!
Stores carrying this sort of reproduced, cheaply manufactured inventory do a disservice to historical Albuquerque culture and retail simultaneously. Much of the main room contains flimsy designs on T-shirts and mugs that show off dull images from the Windows XP Paint era. The Pendleton products in the back room are showing damage from shelf wear, never being covered or cleaned, and likely never rotated. Lots of wasted space in here - and Old Town deserves a business with premium products in such a space.
My family East & West Coast visited me about 2 weeks ago. I brought them here and they loved it. I go there a lot especially when I’m shopping for myself, gifts for others and furnishings for my home. Prices are affordable and everyone there is helpful in this Huge shop!
I was looking for Baja Ponchos in a size 3 X. They had it! Many sizes and beautiful array of colors. They also have many other souvenirs at reasonable prices. Love this place
I went there on a lark, hoping to find something authentic and New Mexican. I left with a $5 New Mexico flag lapel pin and a quizzical smile too. It's bereft of tourists, but filled with stuff like fake Native American spears bow and arrow sets and sling shots made from plastic and manufactured in China ... lot's of stuff that might have made a few bucks at Stuckey's 50 or 60 years ago. You know shot glasses with pictures of a road runner and plastic belt buckles with an especially unfortunate scorpion embedded within. There's a whole room filled with the real deal though and some the handcrafted jewelry is more expensive than a brand new woolen jacket. Another room is packed with warm stuff from Pendleton. They also have a stunning collection of knives and similarly weird sharp things plus lots of salsa from all over the state too. The two kids running the shop seemed lonely. One said to the other as they were ringing me up, "Hey, don't forget to put his flag in a bag."
We don't often shop at souvenir stores, so we can't make comparisons, but this store has a wide range of of interesting merchandise, nicely displayed. Its prices are about what you would expect for a store that caters to tourists.
hours listed are incorrect. google says they close at 9pm. their own automated phone system called multiple times, no actual human answered says they close at 10pm. we arrived at 8pm and they said they were closed. they said they didn't care if the hours were different listed because "they're accurate for the summertime and sometimes we stay open until 9 OR 10 in the summer it changes" it's not summer, so that's moot anyway. their own phone system is 2 hours off their current closing time with no indication those are seasonal let alone rare seasonal hours. i'm severely disabled and my husband works long days. we wasted an entire night getting over to that side of town, out of the car, and over to the store, only to slowly make our way home empty-handed and in pain for no good reason. I can't get out often and that was a huge disappointment. posting deliberately false information year round and not giving a care when someone asks you about the disparity is bad practise in general, but extremely frustrating to disabled customers. we spoke to them again today via phone to try to clarify if we had missed something, and no, it was their error and they were very dismissive and did not care. I want to support local artists and artisans which is why we were trying to do our gift shopping there and not the mall. deliberately false information and poor customer service that wastes time and money and very rare spoons of very disabled people who don't have a choice about things like this makes that really difficult. listing 3 stars because the things my husband found there last year were great and the artists they work with are clearly great, but as far as business/customer service goes they do not appear to have it together and have no desire to, which is just not okay.
They have cute necklaces. You should see these accessories. I bough these for souvenirs. Sometimes we saw these on other shop, these may not have chains. However, this shop selling them with chains and more economical price :
