I have only been too a performance here once, but my experience was great. Parking is the usual for downtown events, but super close to rail for a savvy visitor!
The reception area is pleasant, contemporary, and lit with the ambiance of the bustling street contrasting the lobby chic. Reception personnel were engaging, hosts were very knowledgeable and helpful. Theater was nice, classic feel, good acoustics, lighting, etc. But fyi-seats are paired, meaning, if you got 3 seats, there would be a gap between 2 of you (out of you are a couple, u may be split--but it seemed everyone was great about shuffling)
The performance was phenomenal, but I can't judge to center based on the "show" other than to presume a center that chooses its events of a certain caliber would be a reflection on the center.
The performance was entertaining, beautiful, sad, but most critically it was unique, raw, inspiring, relevant, and poignant. This first impression is a very positive reflection on the arts here.

Very beautiful venue, well staffed and much more intimate than your typical theater. The chairs are smaller and closer than other theaters. The lobby has a bar and is pretty small. Parking is not easy - come early and plan to spend $15-20. The parking at Embassy Suites hotel is probably your best bet. Overall, a neat experience and worth a visit!

We saw the Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota performance of Pink Floyd's The Wall: A Rock Ballet. It was a sold out performance. My whole family rated 5 stars. For some, it was a first ballet, for all it is definitely not the last.

I have seen performances there on many occasions. The sound is good. Lighting is good and the seats are comfortable.

The cowles center is a wonderful venue for watching dance. The sight lines are great, even in the balcony. I love the mix of modern and classic aesthetics. My only caution is that parking in that area can be a bit difficult, take light rail if you can.
