This place is legit!! The sandwiches, we had 12 and 13, are delicious. The Mac and cheese was creamy with a hint of smoky from the added bacon, incredible! If you are ever in Salem, you have to check it out. If you dined in, don't forget to leave your rubber band wrapper on the bats...
This place was suggested to my boyfriend and me by a friend and his coworkers. We weren't disappointed. The staff is friendly and clean. Our sandwiches definitely did not disappoint. They were absolutely delicious and while things are made to order, they were still quick about getting them made. The store is kept clean and has some fun baseball decor. Definitely a place a recommend, if you're wanting a sandwich!
Ruban was excellent! These are real sandwiches not some Subway style BS. Will absolutely be back!
Top tier sandwich shop around! I ordered the Rueben and was not disappointed at all! Super clean and the staff is so sweet! Ms. Lily was such a delight and can make a mean sandwich! She definitely deserves a raise! Five stars and a forever customer!
Absolutely brilliant sandwiches with delish fresh meat, their pastrami is out of this world! I’m a huge fan of their chicken cutlet sandwiches as well. Tasty sides and a drink selection that includes the best soda ever, San Pellegrino, are a bonus. I’ve only ever spent a week in New York, so I can’t speak to that component, but I can tell you that these are some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever consumed. A hidden Salem gem, it deserves a visit from anybody in town.
I was really excited to eat here after reading the reviews and seeing the photos on Google review. This place makes it because it's the only game in town in the industrial park they're in. I spent nearly $30 on a signature sandwich, an egg salad sandwich, a bag of chips and Italian soda. If it was good and plentiful no problem, but I ate everything and was still hungry. The egg salad sandwich had maybe two oz of eggs in there. I mean seriously it was a flat sandwich and several bites were just plain bread. The number 11 Rueben was excellent as far as flavor from the sauce and quality of the meat, but ridiculously skimpy on the protein for $14 no sides. It's the value of what I got vs. what I paid is why I left the 2 star review. That and the fact I've been to New York several times and the delis are known for stacking the thinly shaved meat. I mean even in Los Angeles which is the most expensive real estate on the west coast you can go to Langer's and get an amazing Reuben for $19 with a side. The pictures they have on Google review must be when they first started and were trying to hook the customer. They got me once, but they're not going to get me again.
I work in the area and visit this location regularly. The food is wonderful. I am giving 2 stars today due to some communication issues with placing phone orders. I was up charged $2.50 to have them split my whole sandwich into two halves. They charged me $2.50 for the labor to separate the sandwich. This was not communicated on the phone. They gouged a very regular customer, with a petty charge, and no apology or recognition of the communication break down. The food is good, but the message is clear- my money is better spent somewhere else.
Forgettabout all the other meatball subs, these home made giant meatballs will rock your socks off! Great bang for your buck and quality sandwiches or 'wedges'. The biggest meat balls I've ever seen. I'd post a picture but it's long gone.
Had the Chicken Parmesean wedge sandwich. Perfectly tender chicken, flavorful gravy marinara and nicely melted mozzarella. We also had to try the Mac & Cheese bacon...OMG! A new favorite but expect to not be able to finish it oh darn, yummy snack for later .
Excellent Reuben. Bread was wonderful, meat was moist, flavorful and delicious. The ratios were perfect. Definitely worth the cost. I'll be coming back for sure.
