Crab Palace

Wanted crabs. I called for pricing and they were running a special. Buy a dozen get half dozen free. That works for me. They only had females large and medium which I didn’t mind either. While I wanted large my pockets called for medium price. They were ok in size. A few small ones but whateves… lol. I liked them and plan to return. I’m curious to see what their large crabs look like.

Their live crabs were $60 for a dozen so I decided to get the frozen dunganess crab steamed. It smelled like ammonia and I gave it back to them and the refunded my money.

Crabs are old had to throw 3 away. When i went back they said where was the crabs. Like i was gonna keep the crabs 5 days snd bring them anywhere. Never going back.

The crablegs are always fresh and the conversation pleasant. Nice owners.... I forgot my wallet once and the daughter was gracious enough to hold it for me. They have my continued support.

I see alot of people saying this place has bamboozled them on the size of the crabs. Since you are paying for these crabs to be a certain size you can ask to view them BEFORE they steam them. So this way you know what your getting. Don't be afraid to check for quality,and size BEFOREHAND.

Always a happy customer. Yet I do wish that they wouldn't over steam my shrimp. But other than that it's a good place.

Best crabs in all of Newark. I’ve gone out of my way to go to this place and I have never been let down! Their seasoning is amazing and their service is great!

The crabs are delicious on a good day. Make sure that you get the regular spice and not the one with cinnamon.

The place is small but with a kind staff working the register- the prices are a good deal for a dozen crabs! And their shrimp is also delicious, and everything is fresh. Everything is direct and they have signs to let you know everything! my family and I were very happy with our meal and we would definitely come and buy from here again.

I honestly only stop by here because it was right next to where I was dropping my friend off. As soon as I walked and I noticed some crab legs and some shrimp but for some reason they did not look as fresh as they should be. I just decided to order the imitation krab meat fried sticks. They were surprisingly good because there were very tender. On the other hand my friend ordered the Whiting fish sandwich. She and I both thought it kind of tastes like old fish, seemed over cooked, dry and was missing a lot of flavor. The man in the lady that were working were extremely nice though and explain the menu very well to me. I'm sure if they had a better location and more people stopped by their food would be a lot better.
