I hired Craftsmanship By John to do some work on the front of my house to improve the curb appeal. The work they did exceeded my expectations and the professionalism they showed was impressive. The project manager and his team arrived at my house on time and they kept me updated on the progress as they completed the work. My project wasn’t as big as some of the full home remodels I had seen on their website, but I felt like they took great pride in the product they were delivering. Thanks CBJ!

I would never have another remodeling contractor work on my home other than Craftsmanship by John. Those guys are great! In addition to adding a new garage and garage apartment to my 80 year old home, they repaired immediately damage we sustained from Hurricane Ike and Hurricane Harvey. They have always been efficient and professional; the job has always been done right and completed on time.

I would definitely recommend Craftsmanship by John. Super nice people. They have been doing work in Houston for a long time, so if you want someone who will be around long after your project is done, this is your company. Their office is a good example of the beautiful work they do.

I, as well, had a bad experience with Craftsmanship By John. Our project manager who showed up very little left in the middle of everything and I asked for a new one—I was told that the owner was now going to be my project manager. Unfortunately, he showed up less than the one before—I ended up being my own project manager, this even being admitted by the owner himself and he apologized profusely, but nothing ever changed. I felt they were not very professional, as the electrician and the owner “tried” to fix some dimmers and some are actually still upside down sliding down makes it brighter. Also, they redid the ceiling three times to match and it still is off. In addition, instead of having the phone company come out to see why our kitchen phone is not working, a “buddy” showed up—it worked for a bit and we finally called Comcast ourselves. It appears that CBJ sealed our phone wires behind the sheetrock. Also, the floor company they used was a nightmare, staining our herringbone the faster and sloppier way—there are even hand and sneaker marks in it even after doing it three times. We finally just paid Craftsmanship off to ensure that they never came back. My husband mentioned to the owner that we have a credit for a slab of granite that was not used and his response was, “I don’t know anything about that”. All this for over $100K......Just please look around and go by word of mouth—there are many reputable remodelers out there that would truly appreciate your business.

I have worked with both John and his staff on many charitable projects through the Remodelers Council of the Greater Houston Builders Association. I have found John and his staff to be professional and giving in all respects. I highly recommend Craftsmanship by John.

What a joke. Tried to get a quote for post Hurricane Harvey work, including construction of a 34’x25’ garage. A project manager came out to my home for about 10 minutes in total. He gave me a “ballpark estimate” on the garage - $175,000! $205/ sq ft for a box with a door and sheetrock? Clearly he wasn’t interested in the project - which I would have appreciated being told up front. Or maybe just taking advantage of people after the hurricane? He said he would provide a quote for a patio - based on what, I’m not sure... He took no measurements or photos, without my prompting. I called the office to speak with the owner after their poor performance. I never received a call back.

I can't believe the transformation in my home. Craftsmanship by John went above and beyond what I thought they could do - and then some! Went from a closed in dark kitchen, breakfast room and den into a wide open space to everyone to enjoy and tons of light. I am so loving this space now. I highly recommend them for any work you need done - large or small.

My family have had some remodeling done by John and they did a very good job. They kept the job site clean and all the staff was professional. Pleased with the work and will use them again.
