Crater High School

If you want my outlook on the school, there is a lot that needs to be changed for it to be a somewhat alright school. Small schools has ruined my scheduling, and I am being limited in my education because of it. I personally would rather attend Eagle Point or South Medford if I had my own choice of enrollment. I will, however, praise the music and drama departments of the school. They are phenomenal, and will always preform to the best of their abilities when given the opportunity.

Worst experience from this run down school. My son was hospitalized for a week due to having Steven Johnsons Syndrome and I got an incredibly rude letter from the school saying that I could be turned in for him missing 7 days of school even though I called them everyday with updates on his condition. After calling the principal and not getting anykind of empathetic response, she wanted proof so we brought in the 7 page discharge packet that on page 4 stated his continued care and that doctors name, address of doctors office and phone number. A month later my son was up all night throwing up so the next day I kept him home and called in. A woman called me right back saying he can't stay home sick without proper paperwork!!! What!!!! Have I entered the Twilight zone? What a nightmare this school is. Those who have never been to another school won't know any better but those of us who have, know that this place is not seeing any tax dollars both structure wise and faculty wise. So after my 12 hour shifts at work I'll get right on getting these cold people the paperwork they want....I'll bring them his puke!
