Working with Joyel has been a highlight of my career journey. I am so fortunate to have been mentored by someone who is so dedicated, kind, brilliant, and approachable. I met Joyel at a women's summit and we instantly made a connection. The girls that get it, get it. I eventually mustarded up enough courage to ask her to be my official mentor, and she said yes without hesitation! As a mentor, she's helped me raise my confidence in professional settings, helped to guide my career pathway, and continues to challenge me personally and professionally. After our conversations, I leave with a long to do list/homework, but I don't mind because I know her intentions are pure and she's not just telling me things for the heck of it; she knows what she's talking about because she's lived it! I LOVED working with Joyel. She is very warm and personable and easy to talk to. She asks great questions that really got me to think about options, goals, and actually acting on my long term goals through short term, practical activities. She provided her notes from the sessions to me immediately after each session, so that I could review, digest, and act on what we discussed.
