It is completely accessible and the path is entirely paved. I walked it twice and almost got 2 miles in for the day. There are several entrances from neighborhoods, but I only found one main entrance. There are several handicap spots, but the parking lot is paved. As you walk into the park on your right, you'll notice a beautiful grilling area. Needs some maintenance and cleaning, but it had mosaic tile for decoration in the brick, and it's covered by a large pavilion. Continuing, you'll see a larger pavilion, almost stage like with picnic tables, and I believe public restrooms. There is a public pool above all this, not sure of cost, if you need to be a resident, it was busy and only one person was working. There was a creek or rain runoff area on the left of the path that needs slight maintenance bc it is overgrown, and you can not really see anything. I know the Friends of Crestwood take care of a lot of this, and when you get near the tennis courts, you'll see solar panels that power lights for the courts. They have also donated lots of patio furniture for that area. New stairs leading up to a road with solar lighting on the stairs adds a nice touch. A picnic area in the shade right across from Girls INC. There are a few historic signs that tell a lot about the history of the area and who developed what. There is a practice football field/soccer field available. A playground. The path is concrete, and the entirety of the walk is mild. With just a little pruning, you could see the water that runs the entirety of the park. Beautiful, kept up, and next door to Seasick Records, Thank You Bookstore, and Crestwood Tavern. You also have the Filling Station to visit after your walk as a reward. Playground: Pretty nice playground available Toilets: Yes, accessible too. I believe there were 2 sets. One by the pool and the other near the front. Dog-friendliness: Welcome if they are leashed and just clean up after them Picnic area: Beautiful, shaded and lots of tables available
Nice little park in a nice little neighborhood. Great for walking, sports games and picnics. Has a swimming pool, playground and tennis court. Also has a pavilion with a fireplace and restrooms. I visited this park on July, 10 2018 and it says the pool is closed on Sundays & Tuesdays. Parking is one way in and one way out.
We enjoyed a day of swimming in the pool ... Great hours we arrived about 12:30 its costs $1.00 per person.. the depend of the pool was closed however, the lifeguards and staff were really sweet and absolutely polite and respectful... Oh also A LOT of other children were there with their camp group I believe one of the kids said they go everyday to a couple hours but all the children were really respectful and well mannered ... I plan to visit at least once a week!! Toilets: Clean
Small playground. Has a walking track.
It's always to nice and peaceful. Even when the park is full of families and activities, it's always a spot to just sit and relax. My Sunday afternoon getaway.
Plenty of pathed walking track to use with a nice layout. Minimal puddles/mud after the rain. The road that runs parallel to the path is a little noisy so I would recommend bringing headphones.
Good park. Happened to be here on a beautiful Saturday!
Crestwood Park tennis courts are conveniently located for individuals that live in North Crestwood and the surrounding areas right off of the interstate. If you're looking for a great place to enjoy tennis as well as relax and read a book in the park , or take the advantage of walking your dog, take the time to stop at Crestwood North Park Dog-friendliness: The people here are open-minded as well as thoughtful when it comes to sharing the tennis courts and pickleball courts
This is a very nice, well manicured park. Peaceful and enjoyable. Until there's an event. Chaos!!! Run for the hills!! If you experience any level of anxiety, and you're considering attending any event... RECONSIDER. Just driving down the highway into Avondale... Panic!
We always have a good time! The pool was closed and the bathrooms were closed. Playground: Great thing there was a tarp over the playground!!!! It wasn’t there when we went in June. I’m glad it was placed there as it can get extremely hot! Toilets: Closed Picnic area: It was covered
