THE CUCUZZELLA BAKERY HISTORY
A third generation Italian family tradition has evolved to a 105 year old staple within the Ironbound community in Newark, NJ. George Cucuzzella’s grandfather Mariano, emigrated from Sicily in the late 1800s. His first location was on Warwick Street where he baked Italian breads in a steel oven from a garage. He later moved to its current location 196 Jefferson Street, Newark, NJ.
