They have a great selection and decent prices. That said, if you do not already know exactly what you want, don't expect any help from the staff...
We went in there with the intention of buying a glider (that we already had picked out from the manufacturer's website), so we really didn't need help other than filling out and paying for an order. You would think a place would jump at the opportunity to help some folks looking to spend ~$500 on a glider, but after 30+ minutes of standing around, and even flipping through a fabric book for the glider, we got sick of being ignored and left. Not one person greeted us, asked if we needed assistance, or any other interaction whatsoever.
We vowed never to return, but alas, we were given a sizable giftcard for a shower gift, so we decided to give Cullen's another shot when we went to purchase a Pack-N-Play. Surely, we thought, that was a bad day and this time would be different. Boy were we wrong. Same issue. This time, though, we had to use the gift card, so I was able to hunt down an employee, who then disappeared after we asked a question but said they would be back check on us, never to return. Finally we were able to get another employee to see if they had our item in stock and we purchased it. The warehouse employee who brought out our purchase was by far the warmest person we spoke to while there. He at least asked how we were doing and thanked us.
I recommend going to Town and Country Furniture (Airline Hwy) for your nursery furniture needs. Also, Baby Bump (Perkins) has clothes and gifts that are just as cute and far friendlier staff.

They have layaway for Christmas-time, which was a great way to pay out the toys for our daughter AND have a place to keep them until right before Christmas. The toys and bikes there are great. Their sister company, Cullen's Babyland, is where I purchased my daughter's crib and furniture; superior quality and I received great service years ago. However, a recent experience at Cullen's Playland has me rethinking my loyalty to this business. I realize that they are busy with the holidays, but what I experienced there makes me want to shop online and take my business elsewhere. Friday I called in advance to arrange for pickup of my daughter's dollhouse and bike. My husband and I went on our lunch break to pick up the items. We waited for 45 minutes. While waiting, we witnessed two separate arguments between employees. Finally, when the bike was brought out it was the wrong one! The dollhouse never came. We left. Today I called to arrange for pickup again. The woman that answered said they were busy and didn't have time to talk to me. She cut me off and said they were busy for the holidays. She said for me to call back right before I come. Honestly, I feel like returning all of my items and taking my business elsewhere for this year. This is no way to treat a loyal customer. I know that if the owners knew of this service, they would be alarmed. If you buy anything from there, don't be rushed to receive it and don't expect service with a smile.
