Incredibly complex ordering system with no signs explaining how to order. As a result everyone is standing around waiting to pay only for a rude employee to shout at them that they have to pay behind them and come back. Service is slower than a tortoise. They are more interested in talking to any airport employee that passes by than trying to get food to the customers. 30minute wait for a burger??? They had a pile of food not collected because people had flights to catch. And when the food comes the fries are cold and greasy, one sorry piece of lettuce and a limp slice of tomato on a burnt overcooked tiny beef patty . For $13 it is an insult!
SHADY BUSINESS.... SHADY EMPLOYEES AND SUPER SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES. STAY AWAY!! SCAMMED AND HUMILIATED. This review is based solely on my own experience and personal opinion. I stopped by the Custom Burgers restaurant on Sunday night, 1/16/22, while waiting for my flight back to Houston, TX. LOCATION: TERMINAL C I think that my pictures are truly self-explanatory, but just for the sake of reviewing this place and their super shady business practices I'll go ahead and write a review. I was waiting for my flight to Houston and, just like many others, I was just coming from a connection flight, and I was super hungry. this SHADY restaurant PRAYS on hungry travelers who do genuinely ignore the SUPER SHADY practices done at this CUSTOM BURGER restaurant. I walked up to the glass display and one of the rude and scammy cooks told me to place an order on the small standing laptop in front of me. All the cooks are extremely rude, passive-aggressive and you can hear them using inappropriate language. I placed my order and the system never asked me if I wanted french fries or not, so I genuinely thought they were included afterall you pay $15. They make me wait 20 minutes and after 20 minutes an african-american girl yells my number and gives me a box.... as soon as she hands over the box I realize that I had been badly scammed!!! SUPER SMALL sandwish, MESSED UP burger, litterally slapped on the bun... UNBELIEVABLE!!! and NO french fries. I go back to the counter and ask the same girl "where are the french fries?"... she goes "Sir, you did not order them" I reply "the system never asked me if I wanted to add french fries"... in a SUPER RUDE way she takes me back to the tablet where I had just placed my order and she shows me how to add the french fries to a Burger. At that point I show her the path I had followed to place my order and I show her that the system does not ask if you wanna add french fries or not.... With a SUPER NASTY attitude she goes "Sir, if you do not like the service you are free to move on to the next restaurant"... I could not believe what I had just heard. CONCLUSIONS: $20 for what you see in my photos... SCAMMED, MISTREATED and HUMILIATED!
A bit pricey by airport standards $18 for burger, fries, drink before tax, and ordering was confusing have to order at a kiosk, then pay at another kiosk, and staff have no idea whether you paid or not unless you got an email or text receipt. The burger/fries are comparable to Shake Shack if you're lucky enough to get it made fresh. The main upside was that it was open at 9:30pm before a connecting international flight.
First, the location is a bit off on Google map. I am reporting this one next to C75 gate. It took them 30 mins to cook a burger. Now my flight is going to check in and I will have to leave without it. No text or email updates during the entire session and this is just not acceptable. They don’t seem to care much about this speed neither. They just take their time. Avoid this place!!!!!!
1. You have to order via an app. 2. Once you order and inquire on wait time. They tell you 30 mins 3. 40 mins later you get your food. 4. There is food left because I assume people had to catch there fight and they took to long. 5. It you want a refund. No one can help. 2 Beef Patties with small fries $25 No customer service. No accountability. Workers talk and eat as they are working. It's not clean. Just look at the back!
Too slow. The burger is not good. Considering here is airport, it’s acceptable. Fried potato is too dry. Even I missed my flight due to the long waiting time, I give it a 3 star. Because Terminal C hundred number area is a food dead corner.
Absolutely horrible service and food. $20 for a small burger and small fries is not acceptable. Service was rude and unhelpful, no sauces available, nothing. The food was terrible. The burger was barely warm, and the fries were the only good part, and yet they were barely warm as well. If you are checking reviews for this place, please listen to them. Overpriced and terrible food.
Was told 10 mins for food to be ready, but 15 mins later they hadn't even started cooking my order. If I waited I would have missed my flight. Staff was just hanging out in the back instead of working/cooking. They also couldn't care any less about anything and clearly hate their jobs, which TBH is probably fair, so this is on their management as much as it's on them. I couldn't say how the food tastes because I never received my order. If you want to miss your flight for an overpriced burger with horrible customer service on the side, this is the place for you! Bottom line, avoid.
They get 2 stars because the food was fairly tasty. Service ruined this for me. I saw the guy cooking throw away like 3 orders because they took 20+ minutes to fill orders. If you're in a rush, or want your food hot, DONT GO HERE.
It seems pointless to add to the rest of the reviews but here I am. The ordering process is complicated and the displayed menus are inaccurate. But the worst part; It's both the most overpriced airport food I've ever ordered AND the lowest quality. Bonus: There were probably 15 people standing around who had been waiting for at least 20-30 minutes. This review stands for several options in this area. They are all owned by the same place.
