Came here for the first time on a Saturday during lunch time. They were pretty busy but we got seated right away. Ordered pho and their fried rice with beef & pork. The food got served to us quickly. They had a lot of options on their menu with great prices. The food was good for a quick lunch.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: No
This was the first time I visited a "hole in the wall" Vietnamese restaurant. Not the best location considering the area, but it was recommended by a friend to give it a try. Da Vang restaurant seemed like it was designed like a cafeteria more than a restaurant. The staff acted more like robots than friendly servers, but they served their purpose. As far as our meal, we ordered pho with beef brisket and meatballs, shrimp spring rolls and fried spring rolls. It wasn't the best I've ever tasted, but it was good. If you're looking for a elegant or modern atmosphere this is not the place to go. But if you're just craving pho, and you don't care where from, give this place a try.
"Average" on the authentic taste scale, but they are very generous with their veggies and pricing. Came here on an Monday evening, and they did not have canh chua, ca kho tho, and a few other authentic dishes that we came for.
I love coming here for the beef Pho. Great prices and the broth is wonderful. I highly suggest checking this place out with some friends or family. There is lots of seating and the menu has a little bit of everything. If you like Pho there is a lot of options.
Overall a great spot for Vietnamese food. I'll start with the minor complaints. Table didn't have napkins nor spoons and I never got the side for my pho basil, sprouts, cilantro etc.. When I went it was REALLY busy so it's understandable that things happen and overall it's really minor -I never made an effort to ask for the napkins, veg etc. because I didn't mind. On to the good stuff. Pho was on the more mild side but really really well balanced in flavor. Very nice aromatic broth and thick pieces of fatty brisket. Delicious. The bánh mì was also really tasty with soft French bread, fresh crispy cucumber and delicious BBQ pork. I also had a nice experience sharing a table with a local who mentioned it was one of his two favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Phoenix. I thought this place was going to be all hype but I was pleasantly surprised even with the high expectations.
Happy to find this place. The hot coffee wasn’t on the menu and I’m glad I asked if they had. Good flavors and excellent service.
This parking lot is super small and tight. We got lucky because we have a disabled placard. Otherwise you would probably have to park in the street. In the middle of the lot is one of those refill water stations so you had people blocking the driveway while waiting for their five gallon to fill. The restaurant was busy during prime lunch hour. Lots of take out orders. We got seated right away but by the door. We order Hu Tieu wonton extra bowl to share. First of all, they don’t make extra large bowl but they made that for us using the pho large bowl. Second, we forgot to specify the wide flat rice noodles nor did they ask us. So it came out with this extra large bowl and vermicelli pho noodles! Imagine wonton soup broth with pho noodles! It was rather not appealing to the tummy. Too much starch and too much noodles because they are thin. It came with a plate of veggies and a crispy fried puff ball. That was the only thing that tasted good. Service didn’t seem quite friendly so we didn’t send it back. Plus they made us the extra large bowl. That would go to waste. We tried to eat it. My mother and I rarely ever waste food. This would be the time where we didn’t finish. We ate the wontons, char Siu, squid, and fake crab. But couldn’t finish the noodles. It’s just the wrong noodles to pair with this broth which makes a huge difference. If you go here, stick to pho or their rice dish. If you get hu tieu, be sure to ask for wide flat white rice noodles.
This place was amazing! As soon as you walked in the door you could smell the deliciousness. It was clean and the food was fantastically fresh. They had a larger menu than expected, lots to choose from. Definitely get there early as it gets busy quick and the close at 8. They weren't really seating after 730 because the restaurant was full. If you want authentic Vietnamese food that is fantastic, I highly recommend!
The broth from here is fantastic, full of flavor and well made! The problem I keep having...... quality control with the noodles, meat, and changing prices. The noodles are always clumped together and either old or just too cheap that they rip apart, it's a shame because the broth is fantastic. The meat overall is a 4 out of 5, sometimes it's perfect and other times its way too hard. This place could easily be a 5 if they put more effort in maintaining quality and using better noodles. Unfortunately, it's a 3 because clearly the owners are overcharging people with prices that change every day and using cheap ingredients.
Amazing taste and very consistent. Great service! Try the Beef Rib Pho!
