Wow!! I and my husband were traveling from Kentucky to Chicago and honestly it was amazing experience. We felt as in we are in India at the first moment seeing interior and service. This review is based off multiple visits to this restaurant. The staff is kind and attentive and so patient when my dining partner is running 30 mins late. The food is absolutely delicious, the menu has so much to offer and split into North & South Indian cuisine. I generally gravitate to North, South is great of what I’ve tried it’s just North is so good I can’t get past it.

Best Indian cuisine in Louisville!! If you're in Louisville and craving Indian food then go to Dakshin. Very delicious food, reasonable price and outstanding customer service.

Absolutely delicious, extensive menu with Northern and Southern Indian dishes, Indo-Chinese also available. The naan is to die for. Had the Chef's Special which included veg and non-veg dishes along with dessert. Friendly service.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes

I got chicken biryani! They served goodd food and they had a good service! The place was not full when we got there.

Great Restaurant, Menu leaves things to be hoped. Do some research in what you want or you might be a bit unsatisfied and confused. They have a LOT more than I've ever seen before of dietary options, and the restaurant is quite quiet. Great for disabled folks. They only have booths though except for the middle table, so wheelchair users beware. Vegetarian options: they have many, along with vegan options. Dietary restrictions: Guuten-free, Vegan, veggie, and halal options are plentiful on the menu.

Forget what you've heard, Dakshin is the best Indian restaurant in Louisville. The menu is expansive, the service is great, and the atmosphere is perfect. Dine in or take out I have never been disappointed.Food: 5/5

I guess you really have to like Indian. Your eyes will water from food being cooked. Thought that was odd. My English friends say it's great curry. I think it all tastes exactly the same.Food: 3/5

Hidden gem here! The food is awesome and so authentic. I had the Butter chicken and it was the best I have had. It is such a nice, comfortable location, and the staff were wonderful.Food: 5/5
