We enjoyed our first trip here last night! Drinks were strong and the talent was awesome. We watched three acts. Intimate atmosphere, friendly crowd. Just please clean the bathrooms, OK???
Aneighbourhood bar and venue. Laid back vibe. Local and touring acts. Quality cocktails and craft beers. A calendar full-of bands for low or no cover pool, jukebox, and a patio ample parking Events e.g. second Sunday art market one of the best. Revisited first time since March lock down . The safety protocols are in place distancing limited capacity in and out there is food. This neighbourhood venue is up and running and still a first choice
great drinks, great food, great vibes! The steak was a little pricey $35. The drinks were reasonably priced $6-8 for 2 vodka cranberries and the vodka shot was really big hahaha. I would come back!
Great place to see live music...small intimate venue and having the courtyard outside is an awesome plus! The only knock for me was that they didn't have Guiness but other than that a huge thumbs up!
Great intimate venue with fantastic sound. Caught a show last night with 3 metal bands, and had a blast. The atmosphere is divey and comfortable. Cover was only $6 too, which is a great deal. The back patio of the place is large, and has a small stage though I don't think they use it much. They had a sausage vendor back there selling delicious and cheap homemade sausages. It's a nice touch and very useful after rocking out for hours.
This place doesn't look like much from the road, and to be truthful there's not much on the inside. Place is a dive, but it has a super friendly vibe and it's clean. There's a great local beer selection, and knowledgeable bartenders. We went on a Thursday, and the house band was incredible. This place is low key but a very good time.
So perfect in every possible way - It would be a cliché to call this place a hidden gem, and that would belie the multitude of regulars that have come to make this place what it is, the best incarnation of what a local bar could aspire to - a place that is of the community and it's culture, and yet with an identity and culture all it's own. Even before entering, the muffled, plaintive wail of electric blues beckons from inside through the door, and once entered the scene immediately strikes one as perfectly apropos, from the understated gritty aesthetic to the very layout of the building, all of which seem to show reverential deference to the music. We sat down and John & Chris tended bar with practiced ease while delivering the kind of clever humor that has you laughing even after you leave. We're that all, this place would easily be a favorite, but then, like finding out that the road you accidentally took is actually the most amazing shortcut - the food was the BEST STEAK & LAMB I have ever had. This magician named Bryan Hawes does with meat what Vermeer did with oils - not good for a bar, but good for a Michellin star restaurant; - good enough that you could take someone here who hates music and doesn't drink just to eat But don't take those kind of people here, and why would you want to hang out with someone like that anyway? Our server Lucy made us feel like regular VIPs, and after eating and enjoying the music an expansive patio offers an environment so casual and unpretentious that it almost feels like you are just hanging out with friends in the back yard. It was one of the best experiences I've had in Houston, and one of the best places I've found anywhere. Thank you sincerely to all the staff at Dan Electro's for this one of a kind gem.
Great place! Live Music was on point! & A delicious Steak Night!
Great bar that feels very welcoming to all! Definitely had a blast going there.
This place is so cool. The stage is great, Audra and Scott are super nice, the beer selection was great, and I met some other terrific people. Played a set here - Pete Henry 11/30 - can't wait to do it again.
