Dan's Fan City

Laura really knows her products and makes the buying experience easy. I bought a slightly dated house that has 13 ceiling fans and have been replacing them a few at a time. I will not get a fan from anywhere else. The quality is unmatched and you get to totally customize your fans to your liking.

Needed a twist on globe for my 21 yr. old ceiling and the lady waiting on us found one that fit our fan perfectly. Thanks to her for her knowledge and patience finding us what we needed.

I purchased a fan less than two years ago and the fan is terrible. I have put two sets of outdoor blades on the fan due to the blades simply breaking. I specifically told the person what I was using the fan for and he sold me a fan that will not work in the environment that it is being used in. I returned the fan and Dan’s fan refused to take it back. Poor service from Dan’s fan. Will never purchase anything from Dan’s Fan again.

I'd like to send my most heartfelt appreciation for Miss Laura at your Hoover Al location and her excellent help in finding a set of replacement blades and arms for an existing ceiling fan in my home. After installing the new blades and testing the operation of the fan it seems to be a perfect fit! Should I ever need to replace one of my existing fans your shop will be my one and only stop! Laura was beyond helpful to us. We went in with an idea in mind just to check things out and she gave us all the options, pros cons etc. She was also helpful when our contractor botched the installation and we had to go back for a replacement piece. Maybe not as cheap as a big box store but the quality and service you get here are top notch.

Previous owners were great10+ ,until they bought out by an administrator ie; lack of customer skills! Purchased two additional basic sea-breeze fans for river house in Bankhead that have no speed at all! New owner advised in-front new customers that I needed a longer extension, bigger motor and if I chose another more expensive motor there was a 30% restocking fee! No advice given when purchased in April 21. After telling her nothing she said made sense, she responded with ,But, I’m willing to work with you! My response was oh ...& and I left! So much fir supporting local businesses! Be Careful Where You Spend Your $$$$ , could have gotten better service for less money at HD or Lowe’s!!!!! OohRah! Semper Fi

Bought a fan up here in hoover al. Lori was super nice, very helpful and really knew her stuff. Brought the fan home and installed it….its fan tastic! Buying another one tomorow. This isnt lowes or home depot garbage. Great warranty but its really well built to begin with.

My wife and I recently purchased a fan from Dan's Fan City. The service provided by Bob and and his wife was wonderful. Their knowledge of fans help me make the right choice and both of them were very pleasant to do business with. You most likely will pay less at a big box store for a ceiling fan but trust me the fans at Dan's are of higher quality not to mention the amazing warranty on their fans. In addition to purchasing a fan, I had a problem with a fan in my house that had not worked for years. After doing some work on it, I was able to make it work again; however, it would only spin at a very low rate. I described this to Bob and he said most likely it is an issue with the switch box. He told me to unscrew the switch box from the base of the fan and bring to him for he could see if he could correct the problem. He ended up replacing some parts in the switch box and when I hooked it back up to the fan, it worked like new. I guarantee this would have never happen at a big box store. It pays to deal with experts. Purchase your fans from Dan's Fan City and you will be pleased!!

I asked my wife if she wanted to look at fans for our sunroom and really had no idea what to get. She had a very specific look she wanted and we were able to customize the fan to get exactly what she wanted here. If that isn't enough, they know fans at Dan's and were beyond helpful. Made sure we got exactly what we wanted and informed us about the differences in the fans. We ended up getting a really nice fan at a great price, but I would have paid more just for the amazing customer service. I will never buy a fan anywhere else, and will be purchasing 4 more soon.
