THE BEST Macarons Ever...So I have ordered 3 weeks in a row a dozen of the raspberry jam...DELICIOUS, Best I have ever had!! I can't get enough of these & 12 last me 2daysmaybe with zero sharing HAHA. I highly recommend these, shipping is fast & they are very well packed. Ordering for my 4th week in a row...now! Worth every penny!!
Ordered macaron making kits online for Christmas presents. I ordered on the weekend and the site said would ship Monday with 2-3 day shipping. On Monday I didn’t receive a tracking number so I called and they said they were sorry they would get them in the mail ASAP. Again on Tuesday had to follow up was told the same that they hadn’t shipped and would get them in the mail that day. No tracking number on Wednesday told the same story. No tracking number on Thursday was told they were sold out and were happy to cancel my order. HAPPY TO! Thanks a lot for wasting all of my time. Terrible customer service. Happy holidays. Never will I ever consider them for anything.
Ordered a dozen macarons and the rainbow black and white cookies for my wife. They arrived chilled and with an ice block that was still frozen. Instructions for how to store the cookies were great. The freshness was evident in every bite. The macarons were absolutely delicious. I personally think they were better than Laudure which sets the bar pretty high. Just placed another order. Expensive, but worth it. Thanks Dana's!
Was ordering macaroons and was told about half the flavors were "unavailable" even though they were right in the showcase. Of the 8 that I bought and paid $2 each for these were small macarons mind you not one was fresh or tasty. Inedibley sweet and stale. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I can only imagine how bad they'd be if ordered online.
My macaroons were tasty but late to arrive they Guaranteed they would be here for Valentine’s Day and then when they weren’t I called and they were Extremely rude to me. I bought them as a gift for my boyfriend and then showed up to dinner on Valentine’s Day with no gift and no desert I worked 12 hours that day and didn’t have time to go somewhere else .. I am very upset on the customer service and although the macaroons were great I will never order from there again.
I came here on a Monday at about 3:30pm. It is located in the basement of Dylan’s Candy Bar, which was weirdly quiet and empty. I tried the Funfetti Mookie macaron baked inside a cookie, Cookie Dough Macaron, and Birthday Cake Macaron. The Mookie was ok. The cookie dough was dense, super sweet, and it didn’t taste fresh. For $5, it was over-priced, and didn’t live up to the hype. They don’t have a kitchen at this location, so it seems like the products are shipped in. On the website, it says that it “operates out of a 6,000 sq ft custom-built facility in South Hackensack, NJ.” I assume that is where all of the goods are made, and are brought in….daily I would think? The macarons were ok. Again, they didn’t taste as fresh as others I’ve had that make them on-location. At $2.75 each, that is a typical NYC price for macarons, but I would expect them to be freshly made on-location for that price. If you really like macarons, but want to keep on a macaron budget, I recommend Whole Foods. Their’s are $2 each. Or just make them at home, for probably $0.25 each. All products are gluten free, which includes the cookies and the mookies. This means that the flour used must not be a typical wheat flour. I tried to find ingredients on Dana’s website, but couldn’t. My overall experience was pretty meh. But I would definitely give them another chance at some point in the future.
If you can’t get macaroons from NJ to NY in 5 days the week of Valentine’s Day you need to reevaluate your logistics strategy. It would also be great to get an email to give me a heads up, or let me know the order is delayed, 7 days today and counting.
I’m very disappointed at this place. I placed my order for 4 dozen macarons on January 21st that I was supposed to use for Valentine’s Day... on the evening of February 12th my order arrived. The box arrived ripped and dented immediately I panicked because I knew the macarons were damaged and I didn’t have enough time to get them replaced. I sent them an email that same evening and waited for a reply. When I didn’t get a reply the next day I decided to give the store a call and didn’t get an answer so I left a voicemail. It is February 22nd and after 4 emails and numerous voicemails I’m yet to hear from someone.
I had originally posted a review about some problems I had with my shipped order and the poor customer service I received in trying to resolve it. However, the owner saw my review and a post I had on Instagram and reached out to me directly. She was extremely helpful and kind. I’ve only had the cookie and mookies so far, but they are delicious. I’ve been unwillingly gluten free for nearly 20 years, and finding this kind of stuff is not easy, but I’m so glad when I do.
