I have had to have my car repaired twice and trust these folks to do an excellent job. They are swamped at times but believe me it is worth the wait. After all it is your car we are talking about. After both repairs it is as if an accident never occurred, just what you want. Good prices too!
I have used danlar a few times in he past and had amazing service. Unfortunately this last time was shown how incompetent and uncaring their staff truly is. For whatever reason rather than using the switch to adjust side view mirror they manually adjusted it and broke it. That was going on three months ago. I have called in 7 times since then to be told every time “I forgot to order it it will be in on Thursday”. How many times is it that you forgot to do your job rather than you are just incompetent. This last time I was even promised “I will personally call you on Thursday to tell you if it’s here and painted or needs to be painted”. Well it’s 1050 Thursday night and surprise surprise I never received a phone call. Do yourself a favor and do not ever do business with this company.
I wont go anywhere else to have my car repaired. Almost 20 years and 6 repairs done here and never a issue and high quality work done on time. Help has always been friendly and professional. Their overall rating would be higher if Google didn't allow stupid reviews like the one i have copied below. 2 years ago- I don't know much of what's going on here or how the service is, but some adle brained employee here murdered this poor classic caddilac by putting tiny tires on it and making it ghetto. Smh some people will never grasp the concept of class This comment has NOTHING to do with the quality of work. Shame on Google for not reviewing comments that can effect a persons lively hood.
Would NOT recommend anybody to Danlar. I had a wrecked bedside, curbed wheel, bent front end parts. Danlar took way longer than they had told me it would take, they never touched base with me on how things were going, no call, text, nothing. They did not fix the front end, the bolt that holds my tailgate closed on the wrecked side has fallen out 3 times already, my LED light strip under the tailgate that they took off and put back on was not centered or leveled, the replaced bedside is not even with the rest of the bed, they did not put the bushing back in the hinge on my tailgate so it rattles now, and they did not fix the paint chipped wheel.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE, for the sake of your sanity and wallet!! This shop sat on my car for an ENTIRE WEEK before bothering to do the damage and price assessment. I waited for an update that week, received nothing. Friday, I called. Was told someone would call me after lunch. No call. I called again, well after lunch, was told, essentially, to go mind my own business and keep waiting for someone to call me. Immediately called my insurance and they called the shop in order to finally force an update. Discovered that they'd only just bothered to do the assessment and had to order parts which might come in the next Wednesday. An entire week LOST during which they could have ordered and waited for parts! I was also finally told that the work would probably take two full weeks, and that I would get text updates and phone call updates. I received NONE. I had to call for every single update, like it was pulling teeth. I was finally told that my car would be ready last Wednesday. I expected an update at least the day before or the morning of. Nothing. I finally called, on Wednesday, ready to pick up my car ... learned I now had to wait until the next Tuesday! Somehow, that wasn't noteworthy enough to let me know. On Tues, end of the day, I call, AGAIN with ZERO text, phone, or email messages between Wednesday and that following Tuesday, fully expecting to be told off once more. To my eternal shock, the car was finished that morning. Except, SOMEHOW, that STILL was not noteworthy enough to call me about!?!????? The only thing I'm grateful for is to finally be done with this negligent excuse for a shop. I'm letting my insurance know and providing the lowest possible rating I can. I'm going to advise they be dropped from my insurance's certified shop list. 23 DAYS it took to do relatively minor work. 23 DAYS I needed to pay out of pocket for a rental vehicle. $500+ stolen from me ON TOP of my deductible. To add to that, the shop does not even bother to provide a military discount for any work. This place takes everything and provides you nothing. Interestingly, another person I spoke to on the way out of the shop had the SAME zero communication and gross wasting of time problem that I did from this place! Seems the status quo. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
I heard the technicians are good but never found out. The side of my like-new Z28/SS was wiped out with about $5000 damage on a $10k car. They wouldn't give an estimate without removing the door so i had to leave the car. After no calls for 3 business days i dropped by at 5pm and heard they "weren't done yet" but they were pretty sure they could "save the car". I never asked why they weren't done. Next, they called at 5pm on the 4th business day and said my estimate was almost done but "the computer locked up." They also asked if i was ok with used parts because if i demand new parts the car might be totaled. I said used parts are ok and was told they'd get me the estimate the next day. The next day, i was called at 3:30 pm now the 5th business day and asked if i modified the car, it has 41k miles and is 100% stock because it was not really a Super Sport. I said i'm sure it's an SS and i have the original window sticker with the build options. They said they called the dealer and verified with the VIN it's not an SS, and also said my SS badges were the wrong color for that year Google it Right away i called the dealer myself to see about this supposed VIN problem. They spent 2 minutes to decode my VIN and found the SS package. They offered me a printout for proof but i think if a body shop needs me to fetch proof of what it already says on the insurance policy I've been paying for 10 years Z28/SS that's a problem. The next day i went in at mid-morning and although it had now been a week, there was still no estimate! I was told it "could be" done by the end of the day. I decided right then to take my car elsewhere. I probably care more about my car than the average driver, but i would think anybody else would also frown at how they handled and lost this job. *Update* I got a very professional personal call from the owner, and i appreciated his apology and concern. also got a call from Chevy being sorry for miscoding my VIN#
Was recommended here by USAA. Danlar practiced Dishonest and Unethical business practices. Vehicle was returned without reinstalling seat belt bolts! Illegal. Vehicle was in there possession for 4 weeks for a 1 week job. Was told by Manager they were going to do repairs that were never followed through with. Couldn't recommend To Stay Away any more!
This is not a business experience but gives you an idea about the company. About two weeks ago, I encountered one of their flat bed trucks right at the Eastridge & Indian School Rd intersection. The truck was on the rightmost lane, when I tried to pass him, he sped up over the speed limit to the point that he did not to let me pass. Then, on Tramway I passed him and slowed down my car at the Lomas intersection. Right before making a right turn, rolled my window down to take a photo of the truck's information to report. When he stopped next to me he rolled his window down and threw something out of his window. This scared me and I immediately made my turn and got away from the truck. I came to work and called the company. First number I called told me to call the owner either he transferred or gave me the number I don't recall. When I talked to the owner, he started defending his driver maybe he was the driver himself and accused me of speeding and saying they have the recording on dashcam. He also said the driver was throwing the company's business card at me. I thought I'd at least share how they hand out the companies business cards.
Is my cars in there for one thing. An employee backs up into my car. They fixed it where it look good. Here it is 2 months later my bumper is falling off, my Fender liners are falling off breaks my grill
Highly recommend this place. I was referred to them by USAA, my insurance company and they exceeded my expectations. Very friendly and professional and even gave me a ride to work when my vehicle was being worked on.
