Dati's Homemade Water Ice & Ice Cream

If you’re new to Phila or if you have been around for a while and haven’t been to Dati’s for water ice if you’ve been to Johns I may excuse you get your a*s over there and see what Rita’s tried and miserably failed to take commercial. As far as I’m concerned there’s only two places to get water ice Dati’s or John’s....period. If you have tried that national chain in the past and hated it, good, it’s a poor example of the treat you’ll get here!

OmG, this was the best Italian water ice that I have ever had in my life!!! I have been to several water ice shops since they've closed and not one can compare. Not only was their water ice out of this world but the people were very nice. I hope that they re-open but in Delaware County.

I would give 5 stars because they're the only place I've been able to find the original Philly soft pretzel; bready, not doughy. I only gave 3 stars because I've had to comment a few times about handling my pretzels with bare hands. I'm not a big fan of the water ice; it's a little bland for my taste.

Been going to Dati’s for years every time I’m in South Philly I always get water ice but decided to be bold and try the Waffle Sundae...so good and so rich even tho I’m now regretting it

Great prices and selection. Took the kids here because we didn't want to drive to Ritas and this place did not let me down. I love their ice cream cones and their gelati. Definitely will return for another visit.

Pizza pretzel was nasty and the milkshakes was trash. My first and last time going. Water ice was good but that was it.

Service is great, the water ices for me.. the pineapple and the lemon are the best and the mango is the worst90% syrup taste other thant that ,for 2 dls each is ok

Been goin here since I was 11 and loved it ever since. Now I'm 20 and still love this place. I would always get my usual banana split and never been disappointed once

Waterice did not have any flavor. I had high hopes for this place...guess I'll stick to Kings in West Philly ;

I've been going to Rita's for a while, and I was blown away when I tried this. It is so much better than Rita's that I still can't believe it. Will be back soon.
