David Ellis Cherry Creek

Mr. David Ellis is a good man. This is an authentic Jeweler who gave me a great deal on my rose gold ring and also a fantastic recommendation since I’m new to the area. I went in hopeful and left happy warmed by the welcome and grace this shop carries. I highly suggest using this company over others as integrity matters and good hearted business is the key to a good economy flow.

Spoke to someone on the phone looking to sell some bullion. When I mentioned some prices I had looked up for the items from other dealers and queried how David Ellis came to a price he just laughed derisively and told me to go sell online. The fact that he wasn't interested in buying didn't bother me... What was irritating is that no effort was put forward to lend this 40 years of experience in helping a potential customer understand David's process even just a precious minute of his time. Instead this potential customer was left feeling uncertain as to whether he was talking to someone who has a fair process or a carnival barking snake oil salesmen trying to Gaslight me. Oh well... In the end we'll never know. What I DO know is that if customer service is important to You there are other options.

I had a 9 AM APPT for a coin appraisal on February 11th, 2023. I arrived for my APPT and I was turned away. Doors were locked, despite the business advertising an 8:30 AM start time. When I called, the person who answered told me that he was "not interested". The woman who made my APPT assured me that I would receive an appraisal. Worst service in Cherry Creek.

I just moved to Denver and this shop was recommended to me by my rental assistant. I stopped by to get a quote for selling my engagement ring. My first issue is that this shop is not straight forward like the shops I’m used to. I’m accustomed to jewelry professionals who do appraisals and then provide a bid or a quote. Neither of the jewelers here would give me a bid. Then, as I left, the secondary appraiser called me a condescending name. Needless to say, I won’t be shopping here or recommending this place.

I went in to inquire if the store would be interested in purchasing an expensive high-quality diamond wedding set. I was treated so unprofessionally, I would not recommend visiting this retail store. Originally thinking they were located in Cherry Creek and that I would receive great service, upon leaving the store the owner told me to come back when I was tired of shopping around my item. CONSUMERS read his review Responses- he’s constantly calling customers desperate. I am not desperate or dumb enough to do business with this man/business

I was hoping to have a gold necklace appraised and possibly sold, but they locked the front door 10 minutes before closing. The woman working just looked and me and turned away. I understand coming right before close is not the best practice, and I try to avoid doing it, but the hours are the hours and this hurts the business.

This is our second transaction with David Ellis. We are retired and wanted the best fair price for Rolex watches and some diamond jewelry. We feel we did receive a good deal, a second time from David Ellis. As far as dog in store, this day with all securiy concerns a dog on premises is a security necessity!

Scammed me out of my dead Grandmother's jewelry. Disgusting. Also responds to customer complaints like a 12 year old girl. Degrading customers is not a good public look. UPDATE: As you can see from the owners response, they are degrading, have zero use of punctuation which makes it incredibly hard to understand the rambling, and take absolutely ZERO responsibility for being slime bags. Hope you feel good for scamming me out of my dead Grandmother's jewelry, who shot herself. You can deal with that karma. Good job guys. Kind of odd that only white people have "good experiences," and are "treated like family. " They actually deleted their response on my other review... again, just proof that they are slime bags.
