Debra Wood Acupuncture Wellness

Debra was a referral from a mutual friend that had good experiences working with her. What lead me down the path to Debra and acupuncture was pain that my primary care physician and physical therapist specialist could not resolve. It had been two years of not having any relief and it was a constant frustration trying to figure out what it is. I had always believed in holistic medicine, I just needed to take the process of elimination approach of what was not working and then take the next indicated step which lead me to acupuncture. When I met Debra for the first appointment, I had a very welcoming experience and knew that this is was where I wanted to take the time to explore and work on my healing. I appreciate how she communicates, has a gentle approach taking her time with what she's performing and develops a trust between herself and patient. I am still in the early stages of working with her, and I remind myself that it took many years for the pain and symptoms to develop, that it takes time to work through them and heal. I can honestly say that I look forward to my appointments because of the positive experiences. Thank you Debra!

Debra is a skilled, gentle and compassionate practitioner, and does phenomenal healing work. I have always found the acupuncture process relaxing, and working with Debra has been no exception. I came to her a few months ago in acute back pain, and her treatments and recommendations for self-care have worked wonders in a remarkably short period of time. I highly recommend Debra (who, by the way, came recommended to me!).

I got so much out of my sessions with Debra. She's incredibly knowledgeable and informative and met my concerns with gentility and compassion. I've never felt better and am grateful for my treatment.

I was a bit skeptical about acupuncture, since I had tried it a couple of times before with no results, but after just one visit with Debra, I couldn't deny the power of this treatment, when it is done right. I arrived with acute sciatica pain running down to my heel. I've had sciatica pain on and off for 25 years, but over the previous week, it had been the worst, most constant pain I've had and I couldn't sleep. Debra did a thorough examination to identify what was causing it before placing the needles. I did not think I would be able to lay still long enough, but when she returned, I was still in the same position and had not had a spasm the whole time. I couldn't believe the reduction in pain, I instantly went from a 10 to a 2. I thought it would probably just be temporary, but it went up to no more than a 3 over the next few days. After the 2nd visit, the pain was barely there. Deborah is thorough and attentive and very skilled at what she does. I have had similar relief from her treating sinus pressure and back pain since and will think of going to Deborah before my PCP or meds for any pain in the future. I thoroughly recommend Debra, as I have to my friends!

I came to Debra in 2009 looking to heal many physical ailments. My acupuncture treatments were initially twice a week and eventually once a month. Throughout the years my physical needs have changed and she has addressed them all using different techniques. Her treatments have helped me enter each stage of aging positively both physically and mentally. She has an expansive knowledge of Eastern medicine and has taught me I can use both Eastern and Western medicine to work in synergy for a complete healthy lifestyle. Once you are under her care you receive her thoughtful expertise to pin point how best to approach your individual healing plan. When I hear others sharing their ailments I want to send them all to Debra. She embodies the true definition of "healer".
