Amazing time today at Decatur CD & Vinyl. Record collection is vast and diverse with multiple copies of many vinyls I know are pretty rare to come across. I’ll definitely be back for more and will probably make this my go to vinyl spot moving forward! Thanks Decatur CD & Vinyl!
Excellent source for CDs from all genres. Staff is knowledgeable but not intrusive: ask for help and you'll get it, but otherwise you can browse and listen as much as you want on your own. If you don't see it, they can order it. Also have vinyl, but I don't use them and so don't have a sense of the selection. Enjoy!
The owner or "clerk" threw a mask at me and insisted I wear a mask. I said "I politely decline". I won't ever go back to this store ever. I remember being treated rudely one other time I was in there. Prices are also above average. I was able to go to Wuxtry and get twice as many CD's for 1/2 the cost and was treated like my business mattered.
Encyclopedic catalog of physical music. If you are wisely still collecting CDs, this is your place. Vinyl and music DVD selections are also top-notch.
Loved this place. I was specifically looking for vinyl albums and found some great gems.
We weren't allowed to shop here because we didn't have masks. And the mean old guy who threw us out didn't have any. I guess he doesn't need the business, although there were no customers. I haven't brought my mask with me anywhere for months. And no one in Decatur wears them, so I don't get it. Oh well.
A week ago I purchased two vinyls set here. They were Beethoven piano sonatas and Violin, cello piano sonatas. They were used vinyls. If the clerk said that they were clean condition,The vinyls beethoven piano sonatas is popping sound.I can't lisent to the music well cause of popping noise. Another vinyls beethoven violin, cello sonatas are approximately fine. But the vinyl is a little warp.So it makes the drum sound at first song parts. I wanted to return this weekend. But the shop was closed on sunday. I want to return it.But That's really hard cause I work at out of GA monday to saturday.I come back at home Suwanee GA on saturday afternoon. But It's really hard to come a lot of traffic area where the shop is. At the day I also purchased about 15 used vinyls at Wuxtry Record shop. Their all used vinyls were perfect...really clean condition. They didn't have any vinyls like this shop's vinyls. The used vinyls has to becchecked carefully before sell its.Popping sound vinyls can not be sold. I recommend Wuxtry record shop. I spoke with the clerk for it.But he said no refund and offered credit. Wow...turly bad seller.I am gonna claim the charge.
Good if you’re looking for new vinyls and a variety of cds. Not much used material or many deals. Has a small sale section on new material with not much of a sale. The older gentleman with the ponytail and beard was very rude for no reason which was off-putting. Won’t be coming back. What a waste of gas. Criminal Records has a more holistic section of both new and used records. You’d be better off going there.
I almost forgot to write this review. I went in here a couple of weeks ago for the first time. The man behind the counter was so FN rude. He was holding a lengthy conversation and didn’t acknowledge us when we came in. Not even surprised. My mom started looking through a container of vinyls we didn’t know weren’t marked for sale yet. They were in the same area as records that were for sale. Let me remind you, the man didn’t speak to us at all prior to this. He literally looked over to holler at us to not look through those records because they weren’t for sale. We had no idea. It was so rude! I immediately walked out. He tried to make up for it but it was way too late. Never going back. Worst customer service.
I have never seen a brick and mortar store with a jazz selection this good. Just a shockingly amazing selection.
