Delaney's Irish Pub & Scratch Kitchen

Just had St. Patrick's Day lunch at Delaney's pub and it was absolutely terrific! We had the fish & chips and the corned beef & cabbage - the fish & chips were nice thick, large pieces of cod, cooked perfectly. The "chips" were like curly fries but so much better. The corned beef was flavorful and tender - the mashed potatoes that came with it were utterly delicious. Even though we were stuffed we had to try the Bailey's cheesecake - all I can say is "who do I have to kill to get the cheesecake recipe"? It was just awesome. The place was packed, but service was great! We will be back, for sure!

The menu is not that diverse or filled with meal choices. Waited a long time to be waited on, served, and had to remind them twice to bring the tab. This was my 2nd and last visit. [UPDATE] Since this (previous 3 star) review was posted the manager of the restaurant reached out to me. That is worth one more star just for good customer relations. My issue was not about the taste of the food, it was really good. My issues had more to do with selection and service. We will return to the restaurant again for dinner and I will personally raise my issues with the management. I have elected to add one more star now. I'll let them know how to get the fifth.

I had Shrimp Alfredo and it was alright. Better than expected for an Irish Place. BF had country breakfast with chicken fried steak and loved it. Averaged to 4 stars. Will probably be back but won't order same thing definitely

Was craving shepherd’s pie and found Delaney’s. I ordered their shepherd’s pie dish with a side of mashed potatoes to go—ABSOLUTELY friggin’ DELICIOUS. Has a wonderful savory and beefy, hearty flavor. The mashed potatoes are PERFECT. Would order here again!

pros: Good beer selection, their drink prices are decent, nice atmosphere, open floor plan. cons: I ordered the Shepherds pie and it was AWFUL, I'd say the rest of the menu isn't much better. the west side of the "pub" has practically no service, if you're playing pool don't expect a server to see if you need anything. you'll have to go to the bar to get your own drinks. Also the crowd is the older country club type. Wouldn't recommend or go back.
