My mother hydrplaned and was in Trama surgery ICU. I was given no choice where her vehicle was towed. The officer told me to take his report to Dellinger to make insurance arrangements about her totalled car. Her meds were still in the car and the hospital needed the bottles. I took the accident report from the officer plus her ID and insurance papers. I was told by the two working the window that she needed to sign their form. I explained her situation. The two women were the rudest humans I have ever encountered. Finally I just gave up and asked for a pen so that I could fill in the needed information for my mother and then drive back to the hospital, go back to the 11th floor and have her sign their form. They gave me a pen. I stood in front of them at the window and filled out the form, except where my mother was supposed to sign it. I handed back the pen and one of the women told me that they had me on camera filling out the form and started accusing me of being dishonest- she said that I was dishonest. I tried explaining that I didn't understand that they wanted my mom to fill out the entire paper, only her signatureon the info. They then said because I was dishonest they now would not accept only her signature but required me to get a notary to witness my mother filling out the papers. Frustrated I asked where the heck I was supposed to get a notary to Trama surgery ICU. All I needed right then was her medications. A man was waiting behind me so one of the women looked at me and harshly demanded: Sit down! I said sit down! I told her not to tell me to sit down anymore. They proceeded to tell me that I was disrespectful to them. It's all on there camera - they let me know all of it was on camera. When I later spoke to their manager I reminded him not to take their word for what happened but to look at the camera footage. I'm not even giving all of the details of this ridiculous episode. My advice - whoever in the Charlotte Police who makes these decisions for those of us in such a terrible situation, please take this company out of you calls. And if you have a choice, tell anyone you know to stay away from Dellinger.
DELLINGER TO THE RESCUE!! I waited for 6 hours in a horribly dangerous location on hwy 485 for Snoork Towing to get my car, and at 10:00 at night they finally told me it was too dangerous to get. The next day I worked with Liberty Towing and what was supposed to be a 20 minute job, 5 hours later they told me they didn't want to do it because it was too dangerous to tow a car off the shoulder of 485. DOT told me to call Dellinger Towing. 15 minutes later Dellinger showed up with 2 trucks - 1 to block the lane and 1 to load the car. In less than 5 minutes my problem was solved and I and my car were safe!! Thank you Dellinger!! Where your competitors failed for 24 hours you came through in no time.
DON’T LET THEM TOW or STORE YOUR VEHICLE!!! I’d give this place is zero rating if I could… considering our experience there this past year. I had a bad accident on the interstate and the highway patrol coordinated towing. Less than a week from the accident date, my wife went to get my personal effects and collected the license plate. *No one at Dillinger Wrecking that day mentioned anything about a daily storage fee. They also didn’t let us know that we were still responsible for them storing the vehicle. Since we had collected the license plate, our assumption was they would be selling the vehicle for scrap and making money off of it, so it was a write off/draw. About a month later we received an incredibly large bill. **I feel like we were extorted, paying over $1000 to settle up with them. On top of it, they got my vehicle to sell for parts and scrap. It was totaled, but the engine was in great shape as well the transmission. They made bank on us! This doesn’t seem legal.
These people are RUDE to not only customers but each other and do not know how to communicate. I was unfortunately involved in an accident and did not have a choice but to have these people tow my car. When I went to sign the release form to have someone tow my car elsewhere, I was not told at all that there was a tow fee, and a fee for letting my car sit there, although the wreck was no fault of mine. When the car was to be towed, I was only then informed of the over $300 fee that was associated with my vehicle. The girl that I spoke to was VERY SMUG AND RUDE and didn’t even let me try to explain the situation. They also had the nerve to go into my car after telling me to leave the key in it, that it would be safe there, and dirty the upholstery of my car seat, and LOSTor stole, because frankly at this point, I don’t trust these people at all, MY. KEY.. Someone in that lot took my key from out of my car and now it is nowhere to be found. Please don’t deal with these people if it all possible. CMPD really needs to change towing services because these people are horrendous.
Had the misfortune of being hit from behind on the interstate and had to get the car towed. Dellinger was the zone wrecker that NCSHP called to have the car towed. They arrived quickly in rush hour traffic to tow away. Came back the next day to gather all our personal items from the car. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and walked me through the process of the paperwork and how to get the car to the body shop to be fixed. I had to produce my drivers license and owners card it was in the vehicle to prove that this was our car. I'm grateful for this as it assured me that no one else was going to come and take items from my vehicle. Made a very bad night before into a much better day than I expected. Thank you Dellinger Wrecker
Word of advice. Do not use them unless your life depends on it. However, if you have to because of accident/police, expect to be fleeced and get your car out of there ASAP! $100/day and no pickup on weekends...comical. They are the stereo typical low reputation, minimal service and over charging towing company. Never use them!
I wish I could give 0 stars. Police had my vehicle towed to Dellinger, and needed repairs so I did have them tow my vehicle to a repair shop. $35 a day plus towing fees and had to pay to take to repair shop. I have a push start vehicle and they told repair shop that they left key in cup holder. Repair shop said they couldn't find the key and had never told Dellinger to leave key in cup holder, also it looked like someone had went rummaging through my vehicle. Now I have to get a replacement key and fob.
Extremely incompetent. The staff are not upfront about everything you or your insurance will need in the event of an accident. This agency really deserves 0 stars. I had the misfortune of having my vehicle towed here and so far its been a nightmare experience. If you ever have your vehicle towed here please be on top of everything.Service: Car towing
Called today at 8:53Am and spoke with Lisa to schedule a tow. Gave her all my personal information including card information and was told that I would be called when the truck was on the way. I waited a few hours and no call. Called them again at 11:50Am to ask about the appointment and magically she never spoke to me.
Standard tow yard. My parents had their car towed here after we were in a horrible accident and the vehicle was totaled. They do inspections too. Big yard lots of tow trucks. Charlotte police recommended them to us.
