When I had my shop in Glendale "Hondaddy" I used Deluxe Machine Shop for all my needs and not once had any issues. If you see a negative review it's because the customer didn't put the parts back together correctly! Think about this there's always a right way and wrong way to do things. Deluxe Machine Shop is the only place I recommend in the valley.
If I could give this shop a no star or half a star I would. Hacks. They had my car and the owner proudly told me he was gonna take care of it and he had never had a car back in his 25 years of experience. Which I found to be a lie. But anyway. Took him my car. Mind you its a built car so it has a turbo and other stuff. Took him longer than expect to get my car back. And I didn't even get my car back running. He couldn't get the injectors lined up so they were leaking fuel. So I had to get the car towed home and finish building it myself. Finally got it all put together and what a embarrassment. He had put grease. Yes grease where the injectors go. Lost bolts to the valve cover. Stripped one of the holes for the mounting bracket to the alternator. Tore a connector for the oil pump. The rear motor mount is missing a bolt. The transmission housing was held by 5 bolts. He ate the axle shaft seals and tried to hide it with shoving RTV SEAL in the housing causing to some get into the bearings. Which we had to clean up. Overall the guy I won't be trusting him with my car or any cars of mine. Also broke the windshield and barely gave me money to cover for the windshield I had to replace. And still had the audacity to tell me he was losing money on my car. Definitely stay away. Wouldnt recommend.
Great shop got both my heads resurfaced and fixed a valve within 24hrs. Highly recommended!
After calling around to several different machine shops in my area and being told. It was gonna take over $240 bucks and 3 months To bore my V 8 block. I found these guys who bored my block for la for less than half of what everybody else was doing it for and did it in one day. This is what customer service is all of these other. Posers in the automotive machine shop industry can go broke. I'll deal with these guys instead. All the equipment is top-notch .
This place was recommended by a local mechanic who gets his cylinder heads resurfaced there so I brought my engine for a rebuild. They said they could take it out and install it back in my car so I figured get everything done there. Huge mistake Took them two years and I never got it back. I kept calling since I'm not from the area but they would always give me excuses while cars seem to come and go and mine would stay there. I finally got a call back that the car was done and ready to drive out. It started backfiring and overheating right there on their parking lot. I lost my patience and took it to another mechanic and turned out the engine block was cracked. Gave them a call back and after a long debate + lawsuit threat with the owner they cut a new block and put together another engine for me. During the installation various parts were lost/damaged from my car.
Did a great job on my 77 f250. Completely remanufactured my 351m/400. Sounds brand new now.
I had my truck towed to Ron's shop and he's been great to deal with. He's been flexible and much faster than expected with his service. If I have future needs I will gladly reach out. His familiarity with my truck's part numbers so far has me sold that he knows exactly what he's doing. I feel comfortable everything will turn out well
Speak Spanish? Need machine work done at a fair price? Need a quick turn around and can bring parts in? Know how to take a joke? This place is cool. Been using them for the last 3 years for machine and block work, never gave me a unreasonable price and have not had any comebacks due to machine work, great place to work with. Sorry for anybody else who has not had a good experience. If you know the game well enough you know these guys are very fair
Took a cylinder head to them to change valves and valve seals, job was done but instead of cleaning the head they painted the whole head. I had loose paint particles in my oil within the 1st 100 miles
I brought in a Corolla head to be rebuilt. When I got it back, it had all new valves and looked brand new. They did a great job and had a fair price compared to the surrounding shops. I will do business here again. Thank you.
