Jamie the Baker is the best. Treats delivered in pink boxes are always a hit at our parties or special events. Her sugar cookies are delicate and not too sweet. Her carrot cake is to die for. There are always beautiful bakery options on display to tempt you - even if you're visiting for a fresh cup of coffee. The newly renovated shop is gorgeous and fits perfectly in this Iowa City historic neighborhood.

Unbelievably rude. I live down the street and have interacted with these people once a week for several months. The ridiculously unpleasant owner has clearly influenced her staff. After months of 40% tips and effusiveness in the face of eye rolls, I'm done trying to win them over. I'll take the longer walk to the co-op.

I 100% recommend Deluxe Cakes & Pastries. I ordered a cake for my husbands birthday. From beginning to end they were great.The cake I ordered besides being exactly what I wanted it was delicious!! My husband and I loved it. Will be ordering again soon!

Lovely atmosphere! Beautiful and delicious!!! Worth a stop. Only concern is the lack of easy parking, but worth the time for sure!

Best bakery in Iowa city.  Parking outside is terrible but everything inside is to die for.
