Great family outing location with kids. Plenty of different things to do at the playground. Maze is fun for toddlers. Skateboard park is fun to watch. Boating is perfect for a warm and calm (not windy) day - a small boat for up to four adults and one kid for $23/half hour, which is plenty of time to explore on the lake AND share a snack. Lots of ducks, geese and water birds around, pay attention when you walk on the jogging trail and grass since there are bird poops lying around. Restrooms are a bit gross, otherwise it would've been a five star.

An extensive playground with all sorts of play structures for kids of all ages. A must-visit if visiting Monterey with young kids. They would love it. There were a lot of people on the Saturday we visited. However, the playground is so big with numerous play structures that you wouldn't be struggling to make sure that your kid gets a turn. The boating opportunity is a fun family experience.

Lots of fun toys and playgrounds. Beach air was very nice. They recently refurbished much if the park. As of April 2018 there are still a couple play items under refurbishment. Despite that, our kids didn't want to leave, even after three hours.

Great playground for walking kids to 5th grade. Lots of slides and climbing equipment. Can get crowded, but it's pretty big. Right next to the baseball field and skate park with a good view of the pond. Closed on Tuesdays for the local school to use.

Awesome and fun for children. It has a snack bar as well which sells nachos, burgers, fries, and flavored crushed ice in cups and more. The flavors of the ice in a cup vary from grape to rainbow. They also serve popcorn and a variety of chips and candy. All super delicious. However, the famous train which children were so fond of climbing on was unfortunately shut down for saftey reasons, and now just sits there for show. The largest slide and overlooking bridge of the whole park are also temporarily shut down for construction. There are still many options and jungle gyms and slides and swings to choose from, as well as a large rope bridge and a rock climbing playground. Great place to visit and would totally suggest going!
